I started walking down the hallway when I remembered I forgot my necklace.
I turned around and walked back to the nurses office. I started to walk down the short hallway when I heard someone scream.
" I swear on my life I don't know her."
"Take him back!" I could hear the voice of the man in black say.
The screams were from Brendan.
As I walked past the room he was in, someone grabbed my arm tightly.
"Missing something?" my interrogator asked with his hot breath on my face.
"Yes." I said with an attitude and snatched the necklace out of his hand.
"How rude are you!" he yelled at me and grabbed me by the hair.
"Ahhhhhhiiiiii" I screeched as he pulled me in Brendan's room.
"Do you know this girl?" the guy asked Brendan.
"No."
"Now do you know this girl?" he said with a gun pointed at my head.
It was so weird to feel the cold metal against your head knowing that you could be dead in the next few seconds.
"No!" Brendan yelled at him.
"O well." the guy said and loaded the gun.
"Wait!" Brendan yelled. "Don't kill her!"
"Why not? You don't know her, so why would it matter?" the guy asked.
"Because she's innocent."
"She is definitely not and neither are you." the guy stated and I heard a gunshot.
Everything went black and the last thing I saw was Brendan's worried face.
Flashback begins***
My dad went into the elevator and just before it closed, I pushed myself inside of it.
"Floor number?" I heard the robotic voice of a women say.
"Twelve" my dad said twisting his wrist.
"Guest identification" the robotic voice said as he pulled out a copy of my drivers license.
Why would he have a copy of my ID?
"Identification does not match. Going to floor 19." the robotic voice said and the elevator door slammed close.
"Shit" my father cursed under his breath.
I tried to pry open the door but they wouldn't budge. So I just started banging on them.
"HELP!!! MY FATHER IS PSYCHOTIC!!" I screamed even though I knew no one was out there.
I looked at my dad and he stood there oblivious to what I had just been doing.
I started to cry and I felt my knees buckle underneath me.
The elevator started to plunge down and I fell to the ground not even caring anymore.
Finally after about 30 seconds the elevator stopped and the doors opened.
"COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!"
I trembled as I stood up and my dad just walked out as if nothing had happened.
As I finally made my way out of the elevator, I was in shock because of what I saw.
There were men with guns surrounding me but they were at least 10 feet away from me in any diameter. The weirdest part was my dad was nowhere to be seen.
"I said hands up!" One of the soldiers shouted.
I put my hands in the air and was about to wave them like I just didn't care but these people didn't seem to be messing around.
"State your name and your reason for being here."
"I am Britney Goldberg and my father took me here." I said with my voice trembling.
"Who is your father?"
"Jeffrey Goldberg"
