My mom passed me to go upstairs as I stood there in shock.

"Wait. Can I have lunch money?"

"Just use your credit card!" She said.

"Unbelievable, will you grow up" she responded (not really to me) under her breath.

I grabbed the keys that I assumed were to my car and went out the door.

In the driveway there were two cars I didn't recognize.

Oh God! If I took the wrong car my mother would ground me until the day I got married.

I pressed the unlock button on the keys I had in my hands and luckily it was the less fancy car.

I got in the car and put the key in ignition. I put the car in drive and pressed on the gas. The car abruptly sped forward and hit the garage.

I quickly hit the brakes and took a deep breath in.

Driving wasn't as easy as it seemed.

I put the car in reverse and slowly backed out of the driveway.

As I turned into the next street I almost rear ended the bus in front of me.

______

I pulled into school and went into the underclassman parking lot.

I parked near the back and got out. Around me a bunch of goths were smoking so I grabbed my backpack and hurried to the front of school.

I had no idea where my locker was so I checked my schedule to find out what classes I had.

Apparently, on Fridays, I had French first, but I had vowed to myself never to take that elective.

Confused I tried to find someone I knew, but no one was familiar.

I turned to a girl next to me and asked "Where is French? With Ms..." I looked at my schedule. " Ms.Jenny?"

"What? Stanley high doesn't offer French." The girl responded.

Gosh! I was so dumb! Of course, they didn't! I went to this school yesterday, or two years ago.

But then I moved so I must go to another school. This school was now my old school where all my friends were.

I ran back to the car and looked again at the schedule and it said at the top LAKEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL.

I started crying as I drove out of the school. Today was just too much.

I looked up the address to Lakewood high school and put it into the maps app for directions.

It was 45 minutes away.

Great.

Just great!

____

I arrived at Lakewood near 9. My first-period class, French, was over.

I parked my car near the back of the parking lot again and got out of the car.

I hurried up and ran to the side of the school. I anxiously banged on the door trying to get someone to open the door.

An ugly guy opened the door and said laughing "I'll let you in if you kiss me."

I pushed past him and hurried down the hallway.

"Feisty!" He called after me.

I looked at my schedule for the third time and I saw I had English in room 208.

Which was on the other side of the school and I still had no idea where my locker was.

I continued down the corridor and finally was in front of my next class.

Suddenly, someone grabbed me from behind and pulled me to the other side of the hallway.
