"I'm sorry Lily, I love you," Daniel tells Lily
we all woke up an hour ago and when he woke up, Daniel left to go to the store for a little bit
We were downstairs watching Tv and he came in with small flowers and a stuffed animal that he bought Lily
"it's okay daddy I love you too. thank you for buying me these things"
"of course can I have a hug baby?" daniel asks
"mhm"
she hugs him tightly and opens her gift
"it's so cute! momma look!" she exclaims seeing the fake dog he got her
"it is. would you want a real puppy"
"ooo yeah can we get one!"
"me and daddy are looking into it"
"Really!"
"yup but you have to promise us that you'll take care of it AND we only get one if you agree to go to school"
"Okay, I'll go! I want a puppy so badly!"
"what about a baby brother or sister," Daniel says
"noooo I don't want a brother or sister I'm the baby of the family NO MORE. mommy you not having a baby are you"
"no honey I'm not, but maybe in the future"
"but momma I won't be your favorite anymore"
"you don't know that. but seriously don't worry about me having a baby right now"
"promise you won't have one"
"sure I promise"
"yay! daddy would you want mommy to have a baby"
"I really do"
"am I not good enough"
"baby you are more than good enough I just want another baby cause I know they'll be as great as you"
"well I just want a little puppy"

We are now on our way to the pet store to look at some dogs
we talked about it a little bit more and Lily seemed ready
once we get to the pet store Lily practically runs to the dog area
"momma come on!"
we finally get to the dog area and Daniel talks to the worker and we go into the back
in the back, there's so many dogs, and Lily squeals
"there's so many! mommy daddy come look at this one. he's jumping on me"
"That's charlie he's really friendly" the worker tell us
"How old is he?" I ask
"only 3. he's been in here the longest"
"oh no! we have to help him! can we get him"
me and Daniel look at each other and Daniel whispers to me
"I think we should... do you want to bring Lily to the car and say we'll come back later, and then I'll get him"
"We need to know more about him"
"Okay okay"
we ask a few more questions about Charlie while Lily plays with him and we figure out that we definitely want him
I go out to the car with Lily and we follow through with the original plan
"Are we getting him?"
"not today we still need to think about it"
"oh okay... WAIT I SEE DADDY"
"you do?"
"yes yes and he- HE HAS CHARLIE!"
