"Lily where are you!" i yell looking for her
i walk pass her room and i hear crying
i walk in the room and i see a ball under her blankets
"hmm Lily are you in here?"
"no ones home"
"then what is this" i tickle where i see her and she starts laughing
"stop stop!" she says while giggling
"oh did i hear something"
"it's me mommy" she throws the blankets off of her head and i act surprised
"woah! where did you come from"
"i was always here momma"
"well you didn't say anything earlier"
"cause i'm sad"
"don't be sad baby" i lay in her bed and she lays close to me
"i miss him"
"i miss him too but he's coming home soon"
"but not for my birthday"
"he'll be here the day after. listen i understand you're sad but he's trying the best he can. daddy feels super bad that he can't see you and you saying what you said doesn't make him feel any better"

"oh baby" she starts to really cry and not her trying to get what she wants cry but her i'm really sad/hurt cry
"it was just a nightmare. daddy's okay you talked to him"

"hey shh don't say anything it's okay. everything's going to be okay babygirl. daddy's gonna be home very soon and he's gonna hug you so much and it will be okay. now please stop crying you can't be upset before your birthday" i kiss her forehead and she sniffles
"thank you momma i love you so much"
"i love you too princess. now i think it's time for a nap don't you think"
"yes. you nap with me?"
"of course. you know i love naps"
"you do" she giggles softly and i kiss her forehead again
"now get over here and cuddle with mommy"
she lays close to me and i wrap her blankets around us
