Rick and the others back home had met new people, their leader was Eziekiel, and he ruled a place they called the Kingdom. With a tiger by his side, he was a trustworthy man who promised to take care of Daryl while Rick went searching for others.
"There is someone here we believe you know" Ezekiel smiled at Daryl while walking him away from the Kingdom and slightly outside of his walls.
He knocked on the door and there she stood. His best friend, Carol.
Daryl hugged her tight before breaking down and crying into her arms, Ezekiel leaving them be.
"What's happened?" Carol bought him inside as they took a seat.
"Where the hell have you been?" Daryl asked angrily, pacing.
"What?" Carol sat opposite him
"Where the hell have you been?" Daryl repeated.
"I left" She answered simply.
"I know that" Daryl snapped
"You wanna tell me what has happened?" Carol snapped back.
"Glenn and Abraham are dead" Daryl spoke, looking away from her.
"What?" Carol was taken back and choked at the news. She believed he was lying at first, but his face said it all.
"Negan, we didn't kill him that night in the compound" Daryl began explaining. Carol looked at him confused. "Theo is pregnant" He looked up at Carol
She sighed, trying not to show that she was annoyed "I know, remember I was there"
"Yeah, well you weren't there when she and Glenn went missing, only to be taken by the real Negan!" Daryl walked over to her annoyed. "And when we went searching for them, we were taken, Maggie then got sick, and on the way to Hilltop they were ambushed, and that night I thought i lost the love of my life and you were here doing what Carol, playing a homely life that we won't ever have, you're living in a god damn fairy tale" Daryl yelled before taking a deep breath, tears in his eyes.
"At first she wasn't there, he had the rest of us in front of him, on our knees, pointing a bat covered in barbed wire at us. And finally they brought her out, throwing her on the floor as if she was trash" Daryl pointed at Carol "He killed Abraham, to send a message" Daryl rubbed his head. "And I couldn't keep my shit together" Daryl looked at Carol who slowly stood. "He was going to kill her and Glenn saved her life" Daryl cried "He saved her and I couldn't" Daryl fell to his knees. "He forced her to marry him, and unless she gets out, my own kid won't know who i am, i wont get to be there when they are born, and you are sat here, making your nut soup like your living in a story and the last things you said to my wife was that she would make a terrible mother, and she makes my life miserable. Carol, where were you when we all needed you? When I needed you!" Daryl yelled standing back up, Carol jumping at his quick actions.
"Daryl..." Carol tried to comfort him, but he stopped her.
"No, you wanna make it up to us, you get your ass back to Alexandria and you fight for everyone, I have my wife to save" Daryl grabbed his crossbow before leaving, leaving Carol with everything to process, heading back to Hilltop where he was able to be more involved with the fight against the saviours.
Meanwhile, back at the compound, Negan couldn't stop thinking about Theo, making it hard for him to hate her.
2 weeks had passed,
He wanted to help her, but was afraid to let his guard down, but despite everything, had to stop his thoughts.
"Simon, I have a job for you" Negan asked his right hand man.
"Sure boss, what can i do for you" Simon smiled, placing his hands on his hips.
"You're in charge of Theo, take her to her appointments, get her food, make sure she lives for the rest of her pregnancy and i'll let you do the deal after she gives birth" Negan patted him on the shoulder making Simon smile.
"Deal" Simon smiled as he headed off to start his new job.
Another week had passed, and the torture was killing Theo.
She had been beaten and bruised, surprised that she was even still alive at that point, but she couldn't give up.
As Simon headed down, Theo was busy trying to get herself loose from her ties, cutting and bruising her wrists while doing so.
"It's not going to work" Bailey told her for the 100th time
"Shh" Theo rolled her eyes as she continued to try, but was made to stop as the door opened.
"Morning ladies" Simon smiled widely as he first headed to Bailey, handing her some food before walking to Theo, leaning down to her height.
"I'm in charge of you now angel face" Simon winked as he leaned closer to her "You want some food?" He asked as he lifted a sandwich to her eye level
"No" She looked him dead in the eyes, causing him to smile
"You are one scary missy" Simon chirped "But I am not Negan, therefore, I can use other methods to get you to do what you are asked of" Simon grabbed her face. "You don't want any food, that's fine with me" He yelled before slapping her across the face.
"Slapping a pregnant woman, that's low, even for you" Theo scrunched her face up, to try and ease the pain
"I can get a lot lower" Simon smiled as he flicked out a knife, slowly dragging it along her body.
He winked before standing up and walking away.
As soon as the door was locked she continued to try and get herself loose, completely unfazed by what had just happened to her
"How are you still going?" Bailey asked
"I have a lot to lose if I die in here, so I'll make you a deal Bailey" Theo stopped as she looked over to the girl "I think i can get us out of here, if I do, and you help, you have a home to go to, I'll bring you to Alexandria and introduce you to a potential love of your life, and you get a happily ever after, but only if you help me out so I can return to mine" Theo panted as she rushed an explanation.
Bailey was quiet for a moment
"Deal" Bailey smiled, beginning to try and get herself loose also.
Theo had tried for hours, her hands were dripping with her own blood when she finally got a hand loose.
"Oh my god, finally" She smiled as she turned her body to help get her other hand out and then untie her feet.
She ran to Bailey and gave her a hand, managing to get them both to lose.
Standing her up, she suddenly felt a rush down her leg, like she was bleeding.
Theo looked down and sure enough a small puddle of blood was forming between her legs
"Holy shit" Bailey quickly grabbed Theo and sat her down, "Hang on" Bailey rushed to the door and began to bang against it, but Theo's world went dizzy and white.
"No..." Theo cried out before her world went blank, her passing out to the loss of blood.
"How did you get loose?" Simon yelled, Negan walking in behind him
"Please, she is having a miscarriage" Bailey yelled, causing Negan to ran passed Simon and grabbed her lifeless body, carrying her to the doctor.
He panicked, as if he had let her down.
