3. Dangerous Woman

They spent the next hour or so lost under the sheets before they decided to get some food that Daryl promised her early.

She headed down in a long shirt and her pants, her hair tied in a messy bun.

"You know, I need glasses," She laughed as he handed her a plate of pasta.

"Since when?" He asked as they took a seat on the sofa besides her.

"I can barely read without them," She explained, taking a mouthful of food.

"That i wanna see" He told her with a smile.

"This would be a perfect time to watch TV" Theo frowned as she shuffled on the sofa, her legs now on top of Daryl's as they ate their food in comfortable silence.

Once finished with the food, Daryl stood and put the plates on the side as Theo laid down, lifting her legs as Daryl sat back down.

"The plan sorted?" Theo yawned, looking up at her husband with tired eyes.

"Yeah, we know enough, you and Maggie will be on watch" Daryl grabbed a book.

Theo sat back up, her legs still resting on Daryl's as she was closer to his face.

"If things go wrong, and i can't get out, you have to go" Daryl faced her.

"We've had this conversation D, and i'm not leaving you" Theo hugged into his side.

"Theo-" Daryl tried to talk but Theo cut him off.

"Daryl, why are you suddenly really worried, we've been in situations like this before, you've never been this worried"

"Not out loud i haven't, i always fear somethings going to go wrong" Daryl shook his head, admitting his feeling out loud was something he had always struggled with, especially towards the ones he loved. 

"We don't abandon each other," Theo told him sternly.

Daryl sighed, knowing he wouldn't leave her, and can't expect her to leave him.

"I'm sorry, just knowing we are close to having our family, I can't lose it," Daryl leaned his head back.

Theo moved around so she was straddling his lap.

She grabbed his face in her hands, making him look at her.

"Say it" She whispered, looking at his tired face. 

"I love you," Daryl told her, sitting straight to hold onto her. 

"And i love you too, we are in this together" She gently kissed his lips, pulling back after a few seconds.

"I think dads catching on" She smiled as she flopped onto the side of Daryl, placing her feet on the new coffee table in the middle of the sofa, sitting underneath Daryl's arm.

"Why?" Daryl wondered as he began to open one of the books he had grabbed a few moments ago.

"Almost caught me taking the pregnancy tests off Glenn this morning" She laughed, shaking her head.

"You got tests?" Daryl asked, looking away from his book. 

"Yeah..." Theo remembered, readjusting where she was sat. 

"Have you taken one yet." He asked, putting the book down once again.

"No, and i'm not going to until after tomorrow" Theo nodded confidently at her answer

"Okay, deal" Daryl smiled as he kissed her head, continuing to read while Theo grabbed her drawing book.

She moved around so her back was against the arm of the sofa, her legs once again laying on on Daryl's.
