STILL A LITTLE SENSITIVE IN THIS CHAPTER

The day went dauntingly slow for Theo, she dreaded the conversation she was going to have to have with Daryl, she found herself constantly picking at her skin, her fingers bleeding to the point of pain.

She was scared.

Scared to be alone again.

Scared how Daryl will react to the news.

She waited at the gate until they came home, which was past nightfall.

They drove through the gates, Theo swapping watch with another Alexandrian.

Rick stopped the car, allowing Daryl to get out.

Theo walked over to her husband, watching her father only stop for a moment before putting the car in drive once again.

Theo noticed a new member in the back of the car as her father continued to drive away.

"Hey" Theo smiled as they meet, "You okay"

"Better now" He kissed her lips quickly, "How was your day?" Daryl asked, pushing the hair from her face.

"Okay, I see there is someone else back with you" Theo smiled sweetly, feeling for the first time in years, awkward around Daryl.

And he sensed it straight away.

"Meet me at the cell area in 5?" Daryl described the place where they kept people they didn't trust, holding her hand.

"Okay" Theo nodded as Daryl headed over to where she guessed her father took the stranger.

She knew Daryl felt that something was wrong.

So being left for a few minutes on her own to straighten her thoughts helped.

She walked down the short flight of steps, Daryl smoking a cigarette as he waited.

"Good, I have a present for you," Daryl smiled as he grabbed his bag. "They need to be washed, but here" Dary smiled handing her a pair of slippers he had found on the run. "As for your lemonade, that's this asshole's fault" Daryl pointed into the room where the stranger was.

"You got me slippers?" Theo smiled as she took them off Daryl, something she had missed since the start of everything.

"Yep, polar bear ones, thought might keep your feet warm rather than my legs, your feet are always cold" Daryl laughed to himself as he threw away the end of his smoke.

"Thank you" Theo smiled as she took a seat next to him.

"You okay? You seem quiet?" Daryl worried, wrapping a protective arm around her waist, bringing her closer to his body, keeping her warm.

"We need to talk about something, but i don't know if it should wait as i am not sure if this is a good time or not '' Theo bounced her leg, she was nervous.

"We have time now" Daryl tried to calm her, placing his hand on her shaking knee.

Theo looked at Daryl, his face was full of worry.

She took a deep breath, looking into his ocean blue eyes.

Oh how she missed the sea.

"You know you make me the happiest girl alive right?" Theo began, grabbing his hand.

Daryl slowly nodded.

"What's this about Theo?"

"You know you said you want kids to have a family?" Theo asked, Daryl slowly nodded. "Well, there might be some...complications?" Theo tried to think of the right words.

"What do you mean?" Daryl asked, turning his body, knowing she had his full attention.

"For the last 8 months, i haven't had my period, and i am not pregnant, but it's a sign of infertile eggs." Theo tried to explain. "It means i might find it difficult to get pregnant" Theo tried to hold back her emotions, not wanting to cry. But it was something she was so upset about she couldn't hold it back.

She let out a shaking cry before pushing her hair back.

"You mean we might not be able to have kids?" Daryl asked, upset about the new information, he was unsure on how to react.

Theo slowly nodded, her lips quivered as she tried so hard not to make a noise.

Daryl pulled her into a hug, comforting her as she cried.

"I talked to Denise, she said we need to start trying, if we want to have a baby, that way we can see if it's actually going to be a problem, Glenn and Maggie have headed out today to find maternal equipment for Maggie. But if you're ready, I wanna start to try '' Theo tried to ask, but she didn't want to pressure him if he wasn't ready.

"You mean start trying for a baby, now?" Daryl asked, a smile playing at his lips.

"If you are ready, if you aren't i'm not going to make you" Theo rubbed her eyes, calming down a little.

Daryl looked at Theo, he was ready, he wanted a family that he had always wished to have.

"I'm ready" Daryl let out a breath he didn't realise he was holding.

Theo whipped her head around to look back at Daryl, who was crying, even though he didn't realise.

"You are?" Theo doubled checked

"Yeah, let's do it," Daryl nodded, taking her hands in his. "Theo, remember this..." He began as he turned to face her more, taking her face in his hands gently.

"I am with ya. And I am going to be with ya no matter what, things like this happen, in the real world. You are ma life. Baby or not"

Theo let out a laugh, crying with happiness, all her emotions were confused, but she was sure it was happiness she felt in the moment.

Daryl leaned in to kiss her, she immediately responded, slamming her lips onto his, sharing a long, emotional kiss.

They pulled away, resting their heads on one another, before looking back and smiling to each other.

"Hey" Denise smiled from the top of the steps.

"Hey" Daryl smiled as he stood to let her in to check on the new guy.

He let her in before walking back to Theo.

"Who is he?" Theo asked

"Some Paul guy that calls himself Jesus" Daryl groaned.

Theo let out a little laugh before Denise ran out.

"He's gone!" She panicked as the two of them jumped to their feet.
