Chapter 7: Just Another Day; Continued
Usually there aren't too many people at school when Devanne gets there, which was good so you could hurry up and get all your things without anyone seeing you look like a complete idiot.
After Devanne went to her locker she then put her headphones in and went outside to wait for her friends to get off the bus.
Now is when she would get really excited to tell her friends something and today it was about the time on her clock.
When they finally got off the bus she waited for them to walk up the steps before she ran to them with excitement.
"Look, Look, Look!" She said with happiness and her friends barely had the time to process her running up to them and her quick outburst.
Emmalee just stared for a minute before her eyes went wide, realizing what exactly Devanne was showing her; at how little time she had.
"Devanne!" She screeched and swatted her arm away. That's kind of the way she reacted to things.
"Wait, I didn't get to see it, what is it?!" Her older sister Raleigh yelled and grabbed her arm to look at it. Then she started getting excited. Then it just became a screaming fest until the people around them started shushing them.
"It must not be that far away if you are screaming that much about it!" Max and Leo said in a sarcastic tone. The girls rolled their eyes.
"Well at least hers is only days away, yours is years or even never," Raleigh said, defending her friend. Max just glared at the girls and walked away while Leo patted his back saying, "It's ok man, you'll find her."
It was true, Max had like ten or eleven years before he found his SM. Ten to eleven years. That was a long time, but to Devanne, Raleigh, and Emmalee, it was hilarious. Emmalee even saying at least it would give him more than enough time to mature before he met her. Whoever she was. As well as, if it were possible for that much of a dumb and childish person to mature.
Nobody that Devanne and her friends knew of had ten or eleven years like Max did.
"Yeah that's right, keep on walking, I bet she's crazy!" Raleigh said to them, and they ignored her. Then her and Emmalee turned their attention to her friend that was way too under-prepared to meet the love of her life.
She would try her best to change that and get the details.
