Or, Abracadabra, The End!
(Olivia POV)
"Ready?" Ashley asks, looking towards Jayden and me. "Ready as I'll ever be," I say, forcing a smile on my face."Let's go, then." She says. We nod. She leads the way to the Tunnel that goes to the woods. When we reach it, she extinguishes the torches and pushes the trapdoor open. We climb out, and I close the door behind me. I glance up to see the school, a bright blue sky shining against the dusting of snow on the ground. I stood there a moment, drinking in the scenery; the things that might make up the last place I see. Everything is silent and peaceful. The exact opposite of what it should be. I watch as my breath dissipates into the air in puffs, enjoying the tranquility that would only last so long. "I see it." Ashley breaks the silence, appearing beside me and pointing ahead at the mass of mold shrinking away into the school. Or, what's left of it. The future is in our hands. I hope we can end this the right way. "Let's go kill that bastard." I say, looking to the other two and jogging towards the school. When I reach the entrance, I ready my weapon, a stick with a sharp point on the end of it. I grip it tightly in my hands and push the door open the others trailing behind me. The lights flicker overhead, adding to the chilling atmosphere. When they catch up, we start walking towards where we saw the bacteria last. Before we even reached it, we found the bacteria. It didn't see us. "I'll go." I whisper. The others nod, and I creep forward until I'm right behind it. Then, I thrust the stick forward, shoving it through the bacteria. It lets out a cry of what I'm guessing is pain. Then, I lift the stick, feeling the fibers of mold tearing as I pull the stick out. It whips around, grabbing me. It's my turn to scream then. It lifts me high above the floor, and the fear that I won't make it takes over my mind. There's no way to survive. They have to leave me behind. "Go! Leave me here!" The feeling of fear grows as they run out from their hiding places to try and free me. Ashley manages to stab the beast a few more times, earning cries of pain, but no luck in freeing me. Jayden is able to 'injure' one of its legs, losing his balance while trying to free his makeshift weapon from the fabric-like skin of the bacteria. Meanwhile, I begin to lose consciousness, and I realize how the bacteria devours its victims then. It was like the way a spider held its prey, wrapped them up and made sure they couldn't get out. The only difference, the monster grew larger every time it consumed another being. When I'm able to see clearly again, Ashley had been knocked away from the bacteria and Jayden was trying to figure out a way to distract it. "G-guys! Leave me behind!" I call, desperate to save them. There was no saving me. It was already too late. "Go save everyone for me. You don't need to risk your lives to save me..." I trail off, watching Ashley's expression, how she looked upset, but just for a moment, before she nodded, a new determination filling her eyes. I couldn't see Jayden then, but I knew he was probably trying to find a way to slice off the arm of that wretched monster, yet still had no success. I watched as Ashley darted across the room, blocking the bacteria's moldy hands with excellent skill, as if she'd used a "sword" before. When she reached the other side, she grabbed Jayden's arm, and, with the bacteria rumbling close behind them, dove into a supply closet and threw the door closed behind her. The bacteria dragged me through the hall while it scratched at the door. After a minute's time, it gave up and turned to me, baring its rows of sharp, gleaming teeth. I knew what was coming for me as it again lifted me off the ground and tilted its "head" back. I squeezed my eyes shut, silently saying goodbye to the world. I never got to say goodbye....to mom and dad....or apologize for not protecting my little brother....I never wi-
My thoughts were cut off by the pain of my bones being crushed by that monster's teeth. I had absolutely no chance to scream for help. Not that anyone would hear.
Ashley, Jayden, I leave it up to you. I knew they couldn't hear me.
That didn't matter.
And as I floated into the comforting darkness of death.....
I knew that this story wasn't over yet.
There was still a chance to win.
A/N-Hey Y'all! I finally got the courage to edit these and....also the motivation. So, yeah, our character Olivia dies. Yeah. Here's a fun fact for y'all that I probably mentioned in another chapter:
My IRL friend and I wrote the original plot for this two years ago, and I found it while looking through some old files a year back. But, the last few chapters were my IRL friend's original idea with a few modifications.
I had trouble writing this cuz I don't like killing off characters but I guess I like making myself suffer
Idk
Anyways, have a nice day/night!
