I stared upwards crying as the previous night’s humiliation seeped into me. I was lying down on the cold tiled floor of the bathroom. The men had me dancing for five hours straight. And surprisingly they stuck to their word. There was no three way. I exhaled in relief again. That three way could have cost me my unborn child and I knew it.

I prayed to the force that was in the heavens. Whether I liked it or not, He had saved my child. Despite my current unfortunate circumstances, he had kept the untainted soul safe.  It was 4 in the morning, I was locked in Adrian’s bedroom, he was outside in the hall, sleeping on the couch. I turned to my side and began to cry into my pillow cursing life for what it was.

A beep alerted me. My ears went on high alert.

Was that…

Another beep confirmed what I had thought, Adrian had left his mobile in the bedroom. I scrambled to my feet and ran to the table on which the phone lay. I picked it up, it was unlocked. Oh God, yes!

Putting my presence of mind first, I ripped the SIM card from his phone, uninstalled the tracking system and switched off the phone. I put it in my underwear drawer. Adrian never touched that drawer, hence the chances of him looking for his phone in that teeny area were second to none. I broke the SIM card into two and tossed them out the open window.

If Adrian thought I was a stupid bitch, he had another thing coming. Now all I had to do was to find a way to sneak out and buy a new caller card. Once I had that, my fate was sealed, I would be free.

Hellenia stared at her husband Caleb as he ate the daube de boeuf she had made a few hours ago. Her heart beats were frantic, she had to tell Caleb but she didn’t know how. Caleb’s mother was now back in good health…but there was another pressing issue.

“Caleb, baby…” She whispered softly, he heard her and shifted his blue eyed gaze to her, “Yes, baby?” He pouted cutely.

“Look, I don’t mean to concern you or anything but has Milla called you?” Hellenia bit her lip in frustration, Caleb shook his head and replied, “No, she has not. Why?” He arched his eyebrow as he cut up a piece of beef and put it in his mouth, savouring the taste slowly.

“Hasn’t she texted you? Tweeted to you? Nothing….?” Hellenia asked dumbfounded. Caleb shook his head again, “Hellenia, mind telling me what’s wrong baby doll?” Hellenia weakly smiled at him, “Apparently she had a row with mom and dad, she left and ever since then she hasn’t called or texted…nothing. This isn’t like her. Ever since I left, she hasn’t talked to me either…” But Caleb quickly interjected, “Baby doll, didn’t you say so yourself that she is dating Sorja?”

“Yes, Caleb, she is, but I don’t know… this isn’t like her, maybe someone else but definitely not her. Something’s gone awfully wrong and I know it. It’s been nagging me for a while now. I don’t know why, but I feel like Milla is in trouble. Deep trouble, babe.” Hellenia bit her lip, her eyes glazed with unshed tears, Caleb softened his gaze and cupped her hand in his.

He reached out and kissed her softly on the lips, “Don’t worry, she is a big girl. I am sure she is doing okay. Maybe she just wants to wait out the first two weeks or something with him…?” Caleb was unsure whether he was posing a question or making a statement.

“Okay, I guess you are right. I can’t interfere anyways,” Hellenia stuck out her tongue and tapped the oak dining table. She cut up a piece of beef and popped it into her mouth. Then she reached out for her phone. She checked it regularly now, hoping for a text, call, tweet, something from Milania, but it never came.
