I moved my body to the rhythm of Gorgon City’s ‘Ready For Your Love,’ Shane moved his body in tune with mine. He had finished his drink, he put his arm around my waist, but I pushed him back and poked his forehead, “Nope, don’t go there.”
He pouted at me and laughed, “Tell me, what is a pretty little miss like yourself, doing here?” He ran his fingers through his hair.
I came close to his ear and said, “I am with someone but apparently as of now, an ex-flame has his attention.” I discreetly pointed at Alex and Luca.
Shane hooted, “I think someone’s jealous. And anyways, who wouldn’t wanna’ tap that?”
“Hey! I thought you’d take my side here!” I protested. Shane laughed, he had this amazingly velvety slash husky voice that put me on edge. I felt myself blush.
“I am but I take it, you two aren’t exactly an item.” He assumed.
“H-h-how do you know?” I stuttered.
“It’s obvious, Milla. If you were his girlfriend, I’d be the sucker with a broken jaw.” He replied and I laughed, I wrapped my arms around his neck, “Wow. A Brit with humour. You are special.” Shane, wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer, “There is a lot about me you don’t know, you know?” He said into my ear, his breath tickled me and for the first time since I met him, I caught his scent, it was manly and musky, it was powerfully seductive, I could feel my skin burning, “I think I will take my chances.”
Suddenly Shane grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the exit of the disco, “Where are you taking me?” I asked, fighting his grip at the same time.
“I wanna’ play poker or blackjack, something like that.” He said and pulled me out, my eardrums could barely hear what he was saying. The music had been too loud inside.
“Blackjack?” I asked. He nodded, “You can come if you want, and I hope you do. It’ll be nice to have you by my side Milla.” I looked at his eyes, oh god! They were beautiful, so deeply blue, I felt myself blush again.
“Are you checking me out?” Shane smiled and cocked his head to the side.
“No!” I punched him, “You aren’t my type.”
“What is your type then?”
“Not you.”
“Ouch,” He replied and winked. He reached out for me and took my hand in his, “Come. It’s game time.”

In the end Shane had decided to play blackjack, I had no idea how the game went but all I did was just stand behind him and support him. Throwing fake smiles and compliments like “You go baby!” at the right moments.
“Nice catch.” Someone said as he sat in the chair next to Shane. I froze it was Alex and boy did he look pissed.
“Thank you.” Shane said, he immediately recognized Alex but made no show of it and continued to play. Alex extended his hand to me, “Hi, I am Alex.”
I put both my hands on Shane’s shoulders, he softly squeezed them, and I replied “I’m Milla.”
“Nice to meet you, Milla. So, what brings you here to London?” Alex asked, the anger was slowly slipping away from his face and now, a mysterious smile was coming to his lips.
“Oh, I came here with someone, but he ditched me at the bar for somebody else.” I replied solemnly.
“Well ‘he’ sounds like a very bad person.” Alex replied. I could hear Shane’s faint chuckle as he whispered into my ear, “Get him girl! Play along!” I nodded.
