Victoria
Around eight something in the morning, I was already wide awake and I started packing my two big suitcases. The girls already texted me saying that they're also getting ready so I replied back with a simple smiling emoticon and a thumbs up. I continued packing after letting out a deep breath. Honestly, I'm so hyped for this trip that I just can't wait to board that plane and travel out of here.
My housekeeper Macy, announced on my bedroom doorway that our driver is ready and dad and mom will meet us at the airport to see us off. They went on a business trip a few days ago and they had arrived back earlier this morning with the jet and they'll be waiting for us there.
After making sure that everything is all ready, our butler Lance helped me with my suitcases and loaded them up in the black SUV waiting outside. I said goodbye to Macy and to the other staffs before getting into the car while our driver Thomas started driving us to the airport.
I plugged in my air pods and pressed the shuffle in my playlist and hummed along with the songs that were playing. A few minutes later, the car arrived at the runway right next to our private jet that was waiting a couple of steps away. Lance opened the car door for me and I stepped out of the vehicle and smiled when I saw my parents waiting nearby with two bodyguards standing next to them.
I walked over to them and mom was the first one that pulled me in for a huge hug and then dad joined by engulfing us both in a big bear hug.
"Hi baby. I missed seeing your gorgeous face, how have you been?" I pulled away from the embrace and smiled at both of them.
"I'm great mom. How was the trip?" Dad chuckled lightly.
"The trip was great sweetie but that is something you should not be concerned about. Are you really ready for this vacation Victoria?" I rolled my eyes and shoved my hands in my Levi jean jacket.
"Seriously dad, are we gonna have this conversation again? This vacation is what the girls and I have been planning for so long. We need the break and we need the fun and plus, we've already fulfilled your most important expectations. Pass the entrance exams and get into a good college. Check!"
He smiled at me and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"I know sweetie, and I'm proud of you. But I'm also worried about you and your friends traveling around the world by yourselves, God only knows what could possibly go wrong with this trip."
"Cmon Russell, enough with the worries you're making me worried as well." Mom added and pulled dad's arm away from me and hooked her arm around his.
"Look, they're here." She said while looking over my shoulder.
I turned around and shielded my eyes with my hand from the rising morning sun and saw two black cars driving up till they parked right next to our car and I saw Leah getting out first and than Zara.
"Tori!" Leah exclaimed with an excited tone.
"Hey....guys." Zara added with a groggy tone.
They walked up to us while their drivers unloaded the car with their suitcases.
"Hi Mr and Mrs Michaelson." Leah said to my parents and they greeted her back while Zara just smiled at all of us with her eyes barely open.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked her while chuckling.
"You know why I'm like this. I told you guys so many times, I didn't want a hangover but here I am! A walking zombie." We all chuckled.
"Some aspirin and a bottle of water would help you with that Zara. I'll inform the flight attendant to prepare you some before you take off." Said mom. She grinned at her.
"Why thank you Mrs Michaelson. That would be really helpful."
Right after saying that, she started walking towards the plane while her driver trails behind with her suitcases and bags.
"Aren't your parents both coming to see you off?" Mom asked Leah and she shook her head.
"No, they're going for an important meeting this morning and Zara's parents are not in town but they send their regards." My parents nodded and then dad cleared his throat before stepping towards us and placing a kiss on top of my head and also on Leah.
They basically treated this two as if we're all real sisters and we're their daughters. And that's what i love about them and how my parents act around them. We may not be real sisters but we're sisters by heart. After saying a few more goodbyes, we board the plane and settled on our seats. Zara was already sitting down with her sleeping mask on her face and her head against the window. There was a bottle of spring water and a packet of pills in front of her.
The pilot informed us that we're about to take off, so Leah and i quickly sat down and fastened our seatbelts on and than squealed excitedly like 5 year olds when the plane started taking off. I looked through the window and watched Chicago become smaller and smaller till it was not in view anymore. I looked back at Leah and smiled at her.
"San Francisco, here we come."
