A Summer Thrill

Chapter 15

Victoria

I quickly texted my parents along the ride back to our hotel, and also feeling kinda grateful to that Alan guy that he actually had the time to charge our phones, and when we pulled up at the front entryway of the hotel, we all stepped out of the car and watched it left. I ran my fingers through my hair before turning around and started walking inside. I was really looking forward for a warm bath and some hot chocolate before taking a nap again, but with what had happened last night and the dead bodies that I saw in the club, they kept flashing through my mind every time so I can't help myself by feeling wary about everything happening around us.

"We have to leave LA as soon as possible, I'm gonna call Mitch and tell him that we will be leaving early tomorrow morning, okay?" I informed Leah and Zara and they only nod their heads in response.

I get how they're feeling right now, honestly, what happened to us last night with those guys really freaked us out and I can bet on anything that this is what we had not expect at all when we came here in LA.

We got into the elevator, arrived on the floor where our room is and as soon as we walked into the room, Zara made a beeline towards her bed while Leah quickly ran into the bathroom. She started making throwing up noises and I glance at Zara in concern.

"Leah you okay?" I hollered from across the room. She 'hmm' in reply and then walked out of the bathroom after a few minutes with her hair messier then before and her face looks pale and puffy.

"I'm fine now, I feel kinda sick." I walked over to her and hugged her.

"It's okay, we're gonna be okay now." I pulled back and smiled at her and helped her sit on a chair.

After stripping out of my clothes and putting a bathroom robe, I checked the tub that I had filled earlier and then closed the tap before putting my hand in the water to check the temperature. I pulled off my robe and climbed inside the tub, letting my body to relax in the warm bubbly water while closing my eyes in relaxation. Exhaustion was wearing me out and as soon as I closed my eyes, darkness welcomed me.

I woke up with a startle when I heard a noise coming from the living room, and I realized that I had fallen asleep while taking a bath. I quickly climbed out of the tub, wrapped my robe around my body and grabbed another towel to dry my hair with. I opened the bathroom door and walked out.

"Leah? Za-" I froze in the middle of the room when I saw what was happening in front of me.

The towel dropped from my hand automatically and my heart started to beat so incredibly fast. There were five men inside our room, two of them were standing behind Zara and Leah who were both kneeling on the floor, hands tied together with duct tape, one over their mouths as well to stop them from screaming, and their eyes were wide with fear and tears was streaming down their faces .

One of the men who looks a bit younger than the others, came up to me and I stepped back but my back hits a wall behind me. But unfortunately, it was not a wall, it was another guy standing behind me, ready to stop me from going back any further.

"Sleeping beauty finally woke up guys." He says out loud and his men chuckles.

What is going on right now?!

"Put her on the bed." He ordered with a stern voice, and the guy behind me pushed me towards the bed and I sat down and looked up at him.

My mind was running wild with burning questions and I feel so scared right now that my legs are visibly shaking. Who are this guys? What do they want from us? My eyes are stinging from tears but I kept trying to keep a straight face on.
