Victoria
Ross wasn't kidding when he said that he'll text me the coffee shops address in the morning. He literally texted the address to me around five thirty in the morning when we were still asleep and I only read the message when I woke up at nine this morning. A part of me was curious about why he texted me so early today and why he was already awake at that time of the day but the other part of me was panicking about the time we should be there.
Nine freaking thirty!
I was already dressing up but Zara and Leah are still lying on their beds not even getting ready as quickly as i am after I told them the time we should meet the guys at Panther coffee shop. I was starting to get annoyed.
"Will you guys hurry up?! We're gonna be late!" They chose to ignore me and carry on with what they're doing in their phones.
"Guys! Seriously?" Zara looked up at me and then smirked.
"Why are you in a hurry? I just googled the place and it's like right down the street so no need to rush." I glared at her and put on my sneakers.
"Well can we at least not make them wait?" They glanced at each other, sharing a knowing look.
"Ooh I see what's going on here. You just wanted to leave because you want to see that hot DJ again aren't you?" Leah said, making me roll my eyes at her.
"And what if I just wanted some coffee?" Now it's her turn to roll her baby blue eyes at me.
"Oh please tori, we both saw how you two were looking at each other yesterday. He's so into you and we can both tell you like him too."
I turned around and faced them, my annoyance was starting to show.
"Not happening. And even I did like him, I'm not admitting it to him and hope to get into a relationship with him. You both know why and how the last one ended, so can we just drop it?"
The teasing smiles was gone from their face and then Zara got off the bed and walked towards me and gave me a small hug.
"Sorry, we didn't mean to make you feel that way. We just thought, you were feeling ready to move on, that's all." Leah also nodded and I finally felt myself calming down.
"It's fine. Can you both please get ready so we can go? I really need my morning coffee right now." Zara chuckled and started heading towards the bathroom.
"Alright let's hurry Leah, you heard her. She needs her morning coffee or else miss cranky bitch will ruin our day."
I flipped her off and shook my head. Real friends know the real you when they get the signal that it's too early to be giving CPR to dead situations when a certain topic pops up. It's why I also love this two. They were there for me when I broke up with Jimmy last year, my ex boyfriend. We dated for eight months and a friend of his that was in the football team texted him one night when we were hanging out. He left to go use the bathroom and his phone was with me on the couch and I got curious to find out who was constantly messaging him every day since the day he asked me out.
Turns out, he was just using me to make himself look better and to let everyone at school know that he finally got the rich blonde with a millionaire father as his girlfriend. I was beyond humiliated. I couldn't handle the idea that someone just wants to go out with me just because my family's loaded. I broke up with him right at that very same day. That was how my last relationship turned out. Right now, I couldn't even think of the idea of dating again, it makes me feel this very triggering emotion that I was trying to get rid off for a very long time now.
Leah and Zara was finally ready to leave and we decided to just walk to the coffee shop instead of taking the Audi since the place was really down the street, in fact, just a few minutes walk from our hotel. Panther coffee shop is quite popular in Miami and we finally got to find out the reason why. The heavenly smell of coffee and how cozy and warm the place is. It was full too but luckily, as soon as we walked in we found Ross and the guys with Adrianne and Alice sitting at the table right in the corner.
We went over to them and joined them and quickly greeted everyone before we decided to order.
"Hey Victoria, when is your next destination?" I frowned with confusion when Trent suddenly asked the question out of the blue.
"What?"
"You know, like the place you're all going to straight after exploring Miami?"
"Ooh right! We're headed to Vegas tomorrow and than to Fiji and lastly, LA."
They all mumbled responses in awe.
"Man, I wish I could spend my summer vacation like you guys. That sounds fun." Adrianne said and the guys also agreed.
"Why LA?" Ross asked me, making me look at him and taking in how undeniably handsome he is, with that denim jacket, grey beanie and white shirt and black jeans.
"We all applied to UCLA a few weeks ago and we all got in."
"You did?! Wow congrats!" Alice said from across the table and i shot her a smile.
"Thanks. So we're also planning to tour around UCLA and look for some cool apartments near campus as well." Their eyes widened a fraction.
"You're all planning to stay together in LA and go to the same school at the same time?" Max asked in amusement.
"Yeah, that's the plan."
"Wow, I really admire you girls." Isaiah said and I chuckled and let the waitress place my coffee in front of me with a plate of chocolate muffin.
"I'm glad we met you guys, at least we have friends here in Miami and we'll contact you all in case we come back here again." Said Zara.
"Aww I didn't know you're that soft Zara. What? Miss me already?" Trent said while placing his arm around Zara and she brushed him off making us all laugh.
"Well I'm sure we're all glad to meet you girls too. We had fun hanging out with you three." Ross said. My eyes snapped back to him and I smiled.
"Well in that case, let's just follow each other on instagram and exchange numbers so we can keep in touch." Leah said and surprised all of us when she took a selfie with Isaiah sitting next to her.
"Phone?" He kept staring at her and finally snapped out of it after a minute.
"Oh yeah, right." He reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone and gave it to her. She took it and started storing her contact in his phone right away.
After doing that, she looked up and saw all of us staring at them, in amusement and surprise.
"Well what are you guys waiting for?"
Everybody started passing their phones around and exchanging phone numbers and than taking selfies and pictures as well. Alice took a picture of Ross and I, and when I saw it later I was secretly glad that we both looked great together.
Even if we chose to keep our chemistry just between us, I'm also glad that we became friends instead. It also makes me happy because honestly, I've never been friends with a guy before. Ever.
