Lyra sits on the ground while she listens to Medusa's movements, the storm did cause them a problem, the house's roof had been removed, so now Medusa is fixing it. She wanted to help but she doesn't know anything about fixing a roof. She can't even move around the place since Medusa won't allow her, she said it's too dangerous for her to be moving around in a place that she's not quiet familiar with.
Lyra hated it, the feeling of uselessness, the feeling of sitting and just waiting for them to give you what you wanted, she hates the feeling of having to order others to do the thing that she wanted to do.
That kind of feeling makes her feel even more lonely, it always makes her feel cold and incomplete, she sighed and closed her eyes, she wished that her eyes could see clearly, she wished that she wasn't a burden to anyone.A soft hand on her cheeks makes her open her eyes and she saw Medusa's silhouette standing in front of her.
"What's with the frown? It doesn't suit you." She said gently touching her cheeks, she sighed and shakes her head, she pulls away from Medusa's touch and looked away, she listens to the sound of the forest... It's unusually silent.
"Did something happen? Are you feeling unwell? Perhaps do you want to rest?" She felt Medusa crouched down and touched her hand.
"No, I'm fine... I just... Can I pray?" She asked, Medusa stiffen, she was silent, she didn't answer she just looked at Lyra who was looking at her now.
"No." Medusa's cold answer made Lyra flinch.
"You're not allowed to pray to your gods. You will not praise them as long as you are in my care and in my place." Lyra was startled to hear Medusa's cold voice.
"I....I understand." She said, after that she felt Medusa placed something in her hand, when she smells it she realized it was a peach. It's her favorite.
" Eat that. I will be done in few more hours, after that you could lay inside the house and take a rest." Her voice was back to normal again, it seems that she hated the thought of praying, or praising the gods, she then saw her turn around and before Medusa could walk away Lyra held her hand.
"Actually... I'm bored... Can I at least do something for you?" Medusa looked back at the small cabin that is now close to restoration... She had been tired from doing most of the work, but she doesn't want Lyra to do anything, she's afraid that she might get hurt.
"I... I hate feeling useless." Lyra whispered but she heard it clearly, Lyra looked down in shame, But Medusa had completely understand it... Lyra had been thought as a weak person because of her disability, the feeling of helplessness is something she's quite familiar with, she knows the feeling of wanting to have something but she can't do anything.
"After I'm done, you could give me some massage.... And I want you to sing for me. It will make everything easier." This made Lyra smile and she nods her head... She returns to her duty and she soon heard Lyra singing.
ARTEMIS
Goddess Artemis is one Lyra's friends, she's also very fond of Lyra's keep kindness, and she favors her more than anyone from Lyra's family. She's the one who gave Lyra a pet deer when she was young, she was the one who help Lyra's mother when she's giving birth to her, since her mother is Artemis's friend too.
"Artemis." She looks behind her to see Goddess Hera standing... She's currently in the forest preparing for her hunt with her hound... To see the Goddess Hera in her forest is quite a surprise for her, the Goddess doesn't often visit the forest.
"I'm quite surprised to see you Goddess Hera. How have you been." She said, She and Hera doesn't have any good History considering that Hera is the reason why her mother suffered.
"I don't have time for fake pleasantries Artemis... I'm here to ask you something... Have you heard anything about Lyra? Can you feel her? Since between the two of us you had the strongest connection with Lyra." Artemis stops from sharpening her arrow and looked for her connection with Lyra... She still could feel her heartbeat, her spirit her breathing... She even knows that she's singing a song.... She's singing it to someone. But... She can't quite pin point the location of where Lyra is.
" She's well and alive... Healthy as always, she's singing a song." She told Hera who bit her thumb, a thing she does when she's nervous.
"Then why can't I hear her song? Why can't I hear her prayers?" Artemis eyebrow furrowed.
"Her father must have stopped her again... You know that bastard." Hera sighed.
"I know... But I have a bad feeling...you don't know where she is, meaning she's somewhere we don't know... Something is blocking our connection with her.... Something is not right and I want you to check on her in her father's mansion... Do it while Athena is not here, because once she realized that Lyra is somewhere we don't know... Everything could go wrong." After Hera said that she had already left leaving Artemis alone... She sighed and nods her head, she placed down her bow and arrow and started to disguise herself as a mortal being before she teleported to the city of Pragma. The market was bustling with energy that day, it seems that they are preparing for a festival... But the festival of the Goddess is still far, so what are they preparing for?
"Excuse me?" She asked a poor man who was walking by.
" May I ask what is happening? " The old man looked at him for a moment before he smiled.
"Ah! You must be a traveler. Today we are celebrating the birth of new Goddess" He said, he then pointed a large statue that was build in the middle of the city square, the statue was awfully familiar to her.
" Goddess Lyra.. she's the Goddess of protection and beast." Her eyes widen, Lyra? Why would they praise her? That is a grave offense against them?!
" Do you know where she is? " The old man Looked at her confused.
" She's with the Gods now. Watching over us." Horror strikes Artemis at the realization that something might have happened to Lyra! And why didn't they noticed this? Zeus will be mad if he found out! Either he punished the citizens of Pragma! Or hunt down Lyra... She must inform Hera about this. She was about to go when she noticed something... The statue of Lyra wasn't alone.... She was standing with someone... A woman with a head filled with snakes.
" Why is that beast with her?" She asked pointing the image of Medusa.
" The beast serves as her loyal servant... She's the one who guards in the name of Goddess Lyra." This is blasphemy! Artemis clenched her fist and left the place, once she's out of the city she covers it with thick cloud... Out of everyone's sight from above. This will protect the people and Lyra
