The next day Medusa and Lyra stayed at the cabin, the day wasn't as bright as yesterday, the sun was hiding behind darks clouds and they could hear thunder from above. Medusa was preparing a hot soup for them to eat.
"Someone angered the God Zeus." She murmured under her breath.
"I hate it when it rains. It makes me sleepy." Medusa said as she sat down beside Lyra, the two of them listened to the pouring rain and the thunder, the crackling of lightning makes Lyra flinch a couple of times.
"Are you scared?" Medusa asked, Lyra suddenly felt herself being lift up, she wraps her arms around Medusa as she placed her in top of her lap.
"You don't need to carry me, I'm not afraid if lightning." She explain blushing when she felt Medusa's snake warpas against her hair she felt some of them on her necka and shoulder.
"I know, but I am. So can you stay by my side until the thunder storm stops." The idea of Medusa being scared of thunder and lightning makes Lyra smile a little, she didn't know that a fierce gorgon is afraid of it
" Why? Why are you sacred? " She asked innocently and felt Medusa's face against her shoulder.
" It's just unpleasant to hear." Lyra could sense Medusa's discomfort so she didn't push further more into the topic. They sat there for at least an hour until the thunder storm subside, the rain was still falling but it wasn't as strong as earlier and Medusa finally sets Lyra down to prepare their food. And again Lyra was so surprised to taste the food, it was so delicious.
" You should work as the castles head chef, your cooking is divine. " She heard Medusa laugh a bit.
" Your flattering me so much Lyra. But thanks you. I still wish to let you taste more food that I cook and soon hope that I could also teach you." Lyra smiles and nods her head, after that they want back to eating again, the silent wasn't ackward if anything it was very comfortable... The two of them quickly falls into a cycle that as if they know each other for too long.
"Lyra? Can you come here and sit with me? I need to be warm." Medusa said, Lyra followed her voice and slowly navigates her way towards Medusa, when she finally reaches her Medusa pulled her by her side, she then rested her head against Lyra's lap and sighed.
"That's more like it." She said Closing her eyes and enjoying Lyra's warmth, she was just enjoying herself when Lyra suddenly hummed, and sing... Medusa opened her eyes to look at Lyra who was singing, her voice is very enchanting, it echoes around the cabin and was very pleasing to hear, She then started to run her hand on Medusa's hair as if she was caressing it. Medusa remained lying down and listened to the song only to realize that it was about a couple... It was about a tragic story, it supposed to be tragic and sad but when Lyra sing it, it was very romantic to hear.
"You didn't tell me you had such a good voice, a siren would be jealous of you." She said touching Lyra's cheek, Lyra smiled and leans against her touch before she giggle.
"I'm so sorry, did I wake you up? Or did I disturb you?" Medusa shakes her head and sat up.
"You didn't, I was simply bewitched by your beautiful voice. The gods must have really favored you for giving you such gifts." A blush creep onto Lyra's cheek and Medusa couldn't help but smile at the look of Lyra, she looks so cute when her cheeks turn a deep shade of red.
"Thank you." Lyra said covering her face, this made Medusa laugh and she gently pulls Lyra's hand away from her face.
"You don't need to hide yourself." She said titling her head to side to get a better look of her.
"You should sing for me a lot, I really like to hear your voice. Is that alright with you?"
"Of course it is." Lyra happily replied at her. Medusa then went and lay back down on Lyra's lap and asked her to sing for her again until she fell asleep, and Lyra did as what she was asked, singing for Medusa until she fell asleep again.
Lyra stayed still as she felt Medusa slowly relax, her breathing falls into a pattern that suggest to her that she had fallen asleep, yet the snakes on her head remained moving, indicating that she's still conscious about her surrounding, her snakes serves as her guardians when she's asleep, alarming her if there were enemies nearby... Everything was perfectly normal until the wind blew strong and the rain poured even more heavier, the lightning and thunder boomed loudly almost making the ground shake, Lyra winced at the harsh sounds of the thunder, she wonders who angered the gods? Why was the sky mad? She also guess that by now the sea level had arises, many of the citizens would move to the higher ground to save themselves from the sudden rise of water. She almost jump when another much more louder thunder struck by and the ground shakes. She felt Medusa stir and move. It seems that she's been disturb.
"A lighting struck a nearby tree." Medusa said.
"Is the Cabin safe against this storm? Can it hold itself against the strong wind." She asked standing up, she heard Medusa sighed.
"No, that's why we're going to move in another cave and stay there until the storm pass by. It's getting stronger, so we should head out before it's too late." Medusa explain as she started to move around the small cabin, she heard a few rustling before she felt Medusa's long body wrap against her carrying her.
"Hold on tight to me Lyra. We will move now." Medusa then wrap her with a blanket that would at least protect her from the pouring rain... Lyra hold tight onto Medusa's body as they make there way through the thick forest. Another crackle of thunder startled the two of them and Medusa started to move faster, navigating her way through the forest and through fallen trees. After a couple of hours they finally reached their Destination, Medusa gently sets Lyra down and ushered her to sit down on flat stone while she looks for a dry clothes that was stored in the cave. Upon finding a smaller one she quickly gave it to Lyra who was shaking from the cold
"Thank you." Lyra said as she turns around, Medusa them quickly collects dried woods to start a fire to give warmth since the gave have also now turned cold.
Upon successfully making a fire out of the dried woods Medusa looks up just in time to see Lyra still putting on her clothes... The only thing Medusa could see was her smooth flawless back and her round bum, that looks quite pleasing in the eyes she could also see freckles from Lyra's shoulder down to the dimple of her butt. Medusa silently watched her as she changed completely forgetting about the fact the she shouldn't be doing that.
"Medusa?" She jumps when she heard Lyra called her.
"I wasn't looking I swear!" She said quickly defending herself. But Lyra only giggle.
"What are you talking about? I was just gonna ask you to help me tie this behind my back since I can't reach it." Lyra said showing her the long lace that should be tied behind her back to keep her clothes in place. Gulping down Medusa cleared her throat and helped Lyra.
She smells good, she thought when she was standing near her. She smells of fresh new air and sweet peaches. Peaches? Medusa wonders if Lyra's skin would taste like one?"
" Are you done?" Blinking Medusa took a step back and looked away.
" Yes." Lyra thanked her before she walks towards the fire to warmen herself... For a while Medusa just stood there wondering...will she be able to kill her?
