Kurapika handed everyone brown cloaks. "It's not much but this should give us a little bit of cover until we've gotten some food and directions." Kurapika explained.Killua wrapped the cloak around him and immediately felt an itchy shiver go down his spine. Material like that had never touched his skin before, but this wasn't a time to be picky. He turned around and helped Alluka get her's on and took her hand in his.
"Are we all set?" Leorio asked.
"Ready to go!" Gon exclaimed.
They walked into the bustling village and Killua experienced a thousand new sights and sounds. He could smell soft smoke that rolled out of the small cabin houses. The smell was accompanied by the sent of meat and break. The villages around them all walked in different directions talking and shouting over each other. Sales men were shouting out deals, little kids laughed and screamed around them, babies cried, cattle walking through the street added to the chaos.
Killua stepped back and tried to hide the fact that he was overwhelmed by everything. Gon turned around and seemed to see his distress. He took his hand and wrapped their fingers together.
"Don't worry, it was a lot for me at first too." Gon assured him.
Killua took a deep breath and let himself calm down. "Thank you." He whispered to Gon.
"Alright. What kind of stuff do you like?" Kurapika asked Alluka.
"I like fruit and sweet things!" She exclaimed happily.
"Alright. Let's see what they have!" Leorio declared as he walked through the crowd with ease."
Killua followed after him behind Kurapika and Gon with Alluka just behind him.
"This looks like it's pretty good." Kurapika thought out loud as they walked up to a stand with a few apples and oranges for sale.
The apples looked bruised and much smaller than the ones at the castle. Killua turned to face Alluka and could tell she was thinking the same thing.
"Stuff isn't going to look as pretty as in the castle, can that be okay?" Killua whispered to Alluka.
She sighed. "Yeah I know." She replied.
"One dozen apples please." Kurapika ordered.
"That will be seven silver coins." The man replied.
"Seven silver coins?" Leorio exclaimed.
"That's my price." The farmer replied harshly.
"That's way too much for some bruised apples. At most they are worth three silver coins, and even then that's a stretch!" Leorio told him.
"Prices have gone up due to taxes." The man explained.
"We aren't paying that much." Leorio hissed.
"Leorio it's fine!" Kurapika whispered.
"It got this." Leorio whispered back quickly.
Lerio continued to haggle for the apples and Killua turned around to get a better look at the village. His eyes couldn't choose what to focus on next. Everything seemed to be moving. Suddenly his eyes caught a glimpse of someone not moving. Someone standing outside a shop staring directly at him. He was tall with several tattoos running up his arm and his neck. His shirt looked like it had been torn and his eyes ran over Killua like he was some piece of meat. Goosebumps ran down Killua's spin as he quickly looked away from the man.
