Chapter Six: One Is Hiding

Astrid felt a warm presence behind her as two lanky arms were wrapped around her slim waist. She didn't bother turning around to see who it was when she heard him hum in her hair. She chuckled and placed both of her hands upon her boyfriend's hands.

"You smell great," Hiccup complimented her with a mumble since he nuzzled his head on her neck. She was easily tickled by Hiccup's stubble scratch on her tickly skin. She squirmed a bit.

She then turned her body to him to see him shirtless. She was surprised all right. It's not that she has never seen him shirtless before, she still wasn't used of seeing his skin much. "Are you in your boxers only?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes," he replied with no hesitant or even looking down if he is. "Why? Like what you see?" he asked and winked at her. She then felt a sudden heat on her cheeks which made Hiccup chuckle deeply.

The girlfriend rolled her eyes and slapped Hiccup's chest playfully. "Keep having that cocky attitude, and you get no kisses for a month," she threatened him. Hiccup pouted adorably at that.

"Come on milady," he said teasingly and kissed her cheek softly and repeatedly. It made its way to her mouth. "You know you'll miss this lips."

As his sentence ended, their faces were close to close with their lips nearly touching by a millimetre. Astrid took a glance at Hiccup's lips before turning to his gaze and connecting her lips with his. Hiccup didn't take any seconds to spare and not hesitantly kissed her back in a split second. He rolled over, making him hover her and gain control by her. Their mouths gained control on each other, fighting the power they both wanted.

Gods, this is what they need. They haven't been able to have a time together because of the moving together and their work. Especially their friends was kind of bugging them about having not too much fun. Well, they know where's that going to end up to.

Wrapping her legs around his waist, she wanted their skin to touch more closer. Their lips moved in unison against each other, not wanting to break this up. Hiccup couldn't help feel hoisting her up to himself to get more of her. He was just about to do something that will amaze her when his phone rang on the table besides the bed.

Reluctantly pulling the kiss away, Astrid smiled softly at him as he did that same. She fixed up her hair as Hiccup answered the call. She laid across the bed, looking intently at him while he talked to his call.

"No, Astrid's with me right now," she heard him say on the phone call. "No, we haven't seen her until two days ago."

This was getting Astrid worried. Who was he talking to? What was he talking about? And, most imprtantly, who's missing?

"Alright, we'll be there in five minutes," Hiccup replied before ending the call and placing his phone back on the desk. He heaved a puff of air.

Astrid sat up from her spot. "Babe, what's going on?" she asked, looking curious than ever.

"That was Eret," he answered softly. He looked at her. "He's gone crazy."

She furrowed her eyebrows at the statement. "Why?"

Hiccup gave another puff of air. "Merida's gone. She's missing."

Astrid felt the same presence everyone on the coffee shop of her friends. They were all quiet, sighing miserably and not bothering to speak to one another. They were all getting worried about their friend who was gone for about a day and nearly another day to pass by. They didn't know how to tell her parents that she disappeared into thin air. Surely she must've gone somewhere near.

No one knew why she left. Even her boyfriend. She just...went. Was she mad of someone? Did someone kidnap her?

"It's been more than twenty four hours," Anna stated miserably like she just saw a puppy die. "The police has to find her."

Eret grumbled. "I've contacted them for thirty minutes yet they keep declining," he complained at the service. "Mer's a strong girl but she won't make it in a month with no one with her."

Rapunzel sighed, stroking her blonde hair. "Guys, where did she go?" she asked. "Why did she leave?" She sniffled a few times before Eugene engulfed her into his arms to comfort her.

"Think guys," Astrid said to them. "When was the last time we saw her and where was she?" She looked over at all of them. "If the police doesn't want to help us, we have to find her on our own."

Elsa's head then met up everyone since she was looking down the floor. "Eug, can't you track Merida like what you did to find Anna and Astrid's mom years ago?" she suggested, making everyone agree to her.

Eugene sighed and shook his head in dismay. "She doesn't have her phone with her," he stated. Eret then held her phone up that he has it instead. "That's the only device I can use to track her."

Everyone stayed silent, trying to think of any possible way to find Merida. That night was a restless night.

...

"Good morning Mrs. Dunbroch," Anna greeted, trying to sound cheery like she always is but it failed. "Here's the list of food we want you to cater for the conference in a week."

The woman took the neat writing of Anna from a sheet of paper that was ripped out of her notebook. She looked it over and approved that they'll be done in a week when the conference is started. "I'm sure we'll get this done," she said in a miserable tone that Anna heard all night.

Anna sighed, knowing how she felt. About four hours ago, they told Merida's parents that their daughter, Merida, was gone. They sounded so miserable and Eleanor cried during the phone call. The group of friends stayed at the coffee shop until four in the morning and decided to have a rest today. Of course, none of them could relax because of the missing friend.

She walked over to the woman who sat down on one of the tables and rubbed her temples. "Her father and I are so worried for her," Eleanor stated, sighing in the process. "Even the triplets are."

Anna placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to support herself and her. "Everyone is," she said soflty. "Especially Eret."

She then instantly regretted that she said his name as Merida's mother perked up her head to meet hers. "Eret? Who's Eret?"

There was one thing she knows. Merida's in trouble when she gets back.
