Chapter Nine: Betrayal is Like Someone Saying Chocolate Cookies When It Was Raisins
The red haired girl pushed past the crowd of the city to get faster to her now so called 'friend's' location. She was so furious at the moment that she wasn't even thinking straight of pushing past everyone just to yell at her friend. She didn't even think about it the second time. She had never felt so furious in her life, not even comparing when her mother announced that she was going to have to marry one of the suitors she picked out for her. She could NOT believe it. Her friend! Her mostly trusted bestfriend gave away her only secret and worse, to her mother!
"Anna!" Merida yelled as she pounded on the door in 9 o'clock in the evening. She couldn't care less if the neighbours complained about her yelling and her consecutive pounding on the door. All she wanted was to yell at her, get her anger out in the open. Of course, deep down in her stubborn mind, she doesn't want to yell at her friend. She doesn't want her to feel an abundance of guilty but she had to confess her.
"What is it?" Anna finally opened the door with a question, terrified and also confusion in her face of why there was a raging Merida banging on the door. Merida took a breath, not looking away from Anna and came in the apartment without anyone's permission. She saw Kristoff standing up from his seat and had confusion in his face as well as he saw Merida barge in.
Merida then turned to her friend. "Why did you say it to her?" she asked the question she's always wanted to ask her since she knew. "Why? Do you hate me?! Did I do something to you that made you say that to her?!"
Anna looked at her with more confusion in her face. She has no idea of what her raging friend is talking about. She looked like a helpless puppy, trying to figure out what she was saying. It was like she was talking in another language. It was also like a puzzle, what she said putting it in pieces but she still had no clue what she was talking about.
Merida sighed, knowing that Anna might take forever to figure out what she was talking about so she got right on the point by saying, "Why did you tell my mother I'm dating Eret?"
...
"Why are you home late?" Hiccup suddenly asked as the lamp in the living room lighted up, startling Astrid by the sound. She just came home near to midnight from work.
She turned around to see her boyfriend on a single chair, arms crossed and waiting for an answer from his question. "Geez Hiccup, you startled me," she sighed and walked over to the chair next to him and sat down.
Hiccup turned to her with a questioning look and asked again, "Why are you home late?" Of course he was worried of her presence. Of course there were some fainted black bug eyes underneath his emerald eyes, meaning he was wide awake when he should be sleeping. Of course he would rather stay awake and wait for her than to sleep alone. That made her heart tug by his little things he does for her.
"Didn't I told you to not wait for me?" she reminded him, raising an eyebrow. She was now the one who crossed their arms. "I told you that I was going to be late in work."
"Yes but you didn't tell me about...Aaron," he stated, his stare fixated on her and never leaving the sight like he was looking for something in her face. Something like lying or shocked. Astrid widened her eyes from his statement. He knew she was getting rides from their house to her work and from work to her house but she didn't know he was off about it. She didn't get to press on the subject more as her phone rang. Sighing, she gave an excuse and answered the phone.
On the other side of the phone was a lot of yelling and a bit of Punzie shouting at everyone to calm down. "Astrid, where have you been?" Elsa asked as the background noise got quieter. Astrid guessed that she was walking away from the arguing. "I've been trying to contact you for half an hour!"
