"Paul. What are you up to with your jacket buttons?" said Calvin.

"I'm polishing them, Calvin, so they're in perfect working order" said Paul.

"What are they doing today?" said Meg.

"Meg, they're rhyming buttons today. If you push one of my jacket buttons and say a word, I'll think of four other words that rhyme with it" said Paul.

"Ah. So if I hit a button and say jump..." said Sam pushing a button.

"Stump, lump, pump and bump" Paul recited.

"Wow! Cool! Can I try one?" said Calvin.

"Go on ahead, Cal" said Paul.

Calvin pushed a button and said "weather"

"Feather, leather, together, heather" said Paul.

"Wow! Can I try one?" said Meg.

"Sure, Meg" said Paul.

Meg pushed one and said "singing"

"Bringing, ringing, dinging and winging" said Paul.

"I'm trying to think of a tricky one, Macca" said Charles Wallace.

"Oh, you can't trick my buttons, Charles" said Paul.

"How about... propeller" said Charles Wallace pushing a button.

"Speller, cellar, umbrella and stellar" said Paul.

"Stellar. That mean star" Sam said.

"Car, far, bar, tar" Paul recited.

"Paul, I didn't hit a button" Sam said.

"Sometimes my jacket buttons work before you press them, Sam" said Paul.

"Well, Paul, here's a really tricky one. This is a very very very hard one. Good luck" said Calvin.

He pushed a button and said "Purple".

"Rurple, turple, gurple, and furple" said Paul.

"Rurple, turple, gurple, and furple? Paul, those aren't real words" said Meg.

"I know that, Meg, and my magic jacket buttons know that. But they all rhyme with purple" said Paul.

"Oh, Paul! Wha wha wha whaaaaaaaaa!" the kids sang in unison.
