"Wow..." Tetsutetsu rubbed his head. "That was...not exactly what I expected."

Kendo shut the door. "You know, I think they're right... Enough of this. We've already said it's not helping, but we aren't actively really trying to kick it... Really, what did they ever do to us? I remember I even said to Momo I didn't like being in the same group as her, but it's not like she asked for that. Maybe I was just pushing my own insecurities onto her... I don't even like it when Monoma does that, but I still did it... Is this just what we do?"

"I don't think all of us do it," Rin said.

"I feel terrible," Ibara said. "How could we commit such a transgression?"

They looked at Komori, who looked very awkward.

"Well, none of us said anything about it at the time," Kendo sighed, "so we have no right to talk... but...you know, it's true we've been really pushing the line of what's safe and what isn't in training. I don't want to be the reason a class 1-A student has to drop out of school... Yikes."

That seemed to settle it for most of them. Any holdouts kept their thoughts to themselves.

Probably due to the class feeling awkward the following day, Shine had the morning to herself, but Aizawa had told her she'd have to come fill out a report of Eri for legal reasons, though it would be officially signed by the staff. Shine was sitting down and doing this (using Moogle Translate, which would be checked by Midnight later), when she heard some of the other staff talking about parents calling about their kids.

"Should we just let the kids take calls in class time?" Mic asked.

"No," Snipe said, "they should call in the afternoon."

"It's just that training runs overtime a lot, and they miss the calls," Mic said.

"Well, then on the weekend."

"I guess," Mic said. "Not sure all the parents are ready to let go yet, if you know what I mean."

Shine continued typing.

"Speaking of parents, I think one is dropping by today," Mic said. "Oh, yeah...Endeavor."

Shine froze.

"Something about his son not replying to his texts..." Mic seemed to be reading a message.

Shine remembered Todoroki mentioning that to her.

"Eh, the kid was probably just busy," Snipe said.

"Yeah, class time, you know, but we don't want to tick off Endeavor."

"Maybe you could let him answer, then," Snipe said.

Shine frowned to herself. Nepotism is always somewhere in these kinds of organizations, she thought.

"Oh, shoot, I'm late--" Mic dashed out of the room. Snipe also left.

Midnight came to look at Shine's work. "Not too bad. I'll just correct this and submit it."

"Thanks." Shine got up.

"Actually, Miss Likstar, could you sit at the office desk for a minute? I really feel the call of nature, if you know what I mean." Midnight winked.

Shine crossed her arms. "Ask me normally, Midnight."

"Please." Midnight folded her hands and gave her an angelic look.

She knew it would annoy Shine, since Shine didn't approve of her teaching approach.

Shine sighed. "You're lucky I'm nice and that you remind me of a friend of mine--well, you sound like her, anyway. Fine."
