Shine got called to Nezu's office after dropping off Eri with Aizawa the following day.
Wally was not summoned with her, which she thought was strange.
Nezu greeted her in his usual cheery way and had some tea out.
"I just want to chat about your progress with your new position," he said. "How is Eri doing?"
"She's doing great, all things considered," Shine said. "Her quirk only went out of control a few times since she got here, and Aizawa was able to step in immediately."
"So it never happens around you?" Nezu inquired.
He seemed innocent enough, but Shine's instincts said it was best not to give details about that topic.
"It never seems to, she doesn't get very stressed around us. I believe it happens mostly at night when she has nightmares, which isn't unusual for kids who've been through what she has," she said, calmly.
She thought Nezu was still wondering how they had stopped Tokayami's quirk that other time. He didn't ask her any more about it, though.
"And your duties as class supervisors?" he said.
"Wouldn't it be best to ask Wally as well?" Shine asked.
"I thought meeting with you separately would be best, to get both your individual perspectives," Nezu replied. "Would you like cream or sugar with your tea?"
Shine hadn't touched it so far.
"Sugar, please," she said politely.
Nezu put a few cubes of it in the tea.
Shine picked it up. "So what did you want to know?"
"Are any of the students still giving you trouble?"
"When did we say they were?"
"You didn't, but some of the other teachers mentioned that Bakugo has been rude to you. Also, Todoroki's father still checks in with you?"
"I believe he's been in the host this whole time," Shine had only found out he was when she called him. Todoroki had somehow never thought to mention it. "So he has little else to do and he can't exactly come visit himself. He's been checking in nearly daily."
This was true, but it was reserved to mostly a text message. Endeavor might have been too loopy from pain killers to send very long requests. She thought though, that Nezu could have just asked Shoto this himself.
"As for Bakugo," she went on, tilting her tea cup. "He's no trouble at all. I'd say he's been an angel really, since remedial ended, I see a big improvement in his behavior."
While she didn't really think that was related, it had coincided with them winning over his trust more. Also, since that girl he'd met there had been texting him, he did seem to be in a little better mood in general, though none of his classmates had figured out why that was.
Also, it was the smart answer.
"It's good to know that did its job then," Nezu sipped his own tea. "So, no other issues? Do you need anything?"
Shine tilted her head thoughtfully. "To help us supervise better? I think the best thing would be if we could see more mentoring in action from other heroes. We're still learning about how things work here. UA's staff are always so busy teaching, we really don't want to add to their work load. I don't suppose there are any substitute teachers who might be able to educate us further?"
"Why the sudden interest in learning from heroes, Miss Likstar?" Nezu said courtly. "I thought you were not in favor of our methods?"
"Perhaps we judged too quickly," Shine shrugged. "The class seems like good kids. And what else can we do but learn more?"
