Shine and Wally walked part of the way back so they could talk. The streets were pretty quiet in this area, and even if they saw someone, the person would just move away from them warily.

They linked hands and slowed down.

"So you're sure about this plan?" Wally finally asked, after Shine had related all that Shigaraki had said.

"I'm not 100% sure," Shine admitted. "It's a dangerous game. If the villains are truly evil, then helping them will back fire, most likely. But if we're right and UA is hiding something, then helping it will backfire. I'm more sure than ever that someone else is pulling strings behind both sides. That AFO seems to be behind a lot of it, but someone at the school has to be helping him."

"I just wonder if the villains are gonna really cooperate. They could just try to kill us instead."

"They could. Still, dind' they seem more rational than you would expect from all the heroes told us?"

"They didn't act as nutso, not like the Arkham crazie, but they still gave me the creeps. At least, Face Palm dude did."

"I just don't know what else we can do Wally," Shine said, stressed. "You know we're like rats in a maze at UA. We had to find another place to start working... it felt like the right call. Yet if they say yes and ask us for information about heroes, we can only give them what we hope will not do any harm."

"Which they might not like," Wally rubbed his neck. "Look, I trust you. You did amazing stuff in Remnant with the bad guys and getting them to cooperate. And in my world too. Plus, villains seem to like you. Anything is better than letting UA puppet us around. But I also think, the kids are the first priority. I have no idea what the problems of this world really are, but I know we can work with them right now and try to help them with anything that comes up. It's not as cool as hero work, but, at least it's doing something."

"I never used to try to stop crime at all before I met you," Shine glanced at him. "I just dodged around it. Which feels like what we're doing now. But I had no choice then. I wasn't capable of stopping people by force...now we could, but I don't want to abuse that. The villains may prove to be evil, but I think we have to be sure before we move to take them down."

"Yeah, well, the Pros haven't exactly won any points so far, so we could at least give the villains a chance," Wally sniffed in disgust with the heroes. "But, I don't like that hey report ot killing."

"But you know, killing to reform a society is not the same as cold blooded and greedy murder. I don't approve of it, but the motives are at least less selfish and can be people genuinely thinking they are helping. We can't rule out that possibility. The villains may believe that they are in the right, truly. The heroes just would never admit it to us."

"That why I'm okay with this for now, but I really don't want you to get hurt. Or for us to get involved with people who are really out to destroy the world."

"I think we'd figure it out before then, we have enough experience." Shine squeezed his hand. "But thank you. You trusting me means a lot-- especially now that no one else seems to."

"Same," Wally squeezed back. "But, hey, remember, some of the kids finally opened up a little. So it's not no one."

"Yeah, and I want to start building on that too."

"For now, we'll take it slow." Shine held up a stack of books to the three hero kids the next morning. "I think your number one problem right now is you don't know very much about the world around you. And all understanding usually starts with your own world. So, I want you to learn about that."
