Shine and Wally made sure they took a very roundabout route back.

Shine let Endeavor know that the lead turned up empty after all. He didn't make an issue of it unexpectedly.

When she let Mirko know, though, it didn't go as smoothly.

Mirko called her instead.

"What the h--?!" she cried. "You freaking sounded like you were sympathizing with the LOV last time I Saw you. Then you randomly text that you might have something on them. Now it was fake. Are you just fricking with me?"

"If I was, why would I tell you?" Shine rolled her eyes at Wally so he could share her annoyance.

Wally gave her a sympathetic grimace.

"You're so dead if I find you again," Mirko was not amused. "In fact, I know where you work, so I should just come see you in person."

"If you feel up to it, go right ahead," Shine retorted. "So much for helping."

"Why would I help you? You're very suspicious."

"I wish just one of you was original," Shine was so over heroes. "You know what, you show up tomorrow and I'll tell you what happened. You won't like it, though."

"Bet." Mirko hung up on her.

"Are you sure about her?" Wally asked. "She's a loose cannon from the sound of it."

"She would be a gamble, but at least she's interested now, even if it's only for the wrong reason," Shine bit her lip. "We don't have too many options."

"I might have a shot at making a few more friends," Wally slowed. "You know Amajiki? He told me that his hero mentor, Fat Gum, wanted to hang out with me some time. Guess he heard that we helped some students out and had run ins with the LOV."

"I remember Kirishima worked with Fat Gum," Shine said "Probably, he is the one who told him about it. Amajki got through that sentence?"

"It... took him a while but yeah," Wally smiled wryly. "He's a nice kid, but I really wonder how he's gonna handle the spotlight as a Pro."

"Maybe you should give him some tips."

"I don't get stage fright though."

"You see everyone as someone you can help, I think that might benefit him."

"So is it a good idea to meet up with Fat Gum? (Can't believe that's a real hero name)."

"It's not my job to tell you who to meet up with," Shine gave him a weird look.

"No, I mean... strategically, do you think he'd be a good guy or is he another negligent Pro?"

"From all I remember, he sounds like one of the actually good mentors, but that doesn't mean we need to include him in our plan. It's okay to just be friends too...still, if he is a good guy, he might be more willing to want to spare the students. I hate to think this way, but there is just so little time to find allies." Shine sighed.

"Hey, it's no big. Not like we have to ask him, I'll just be friendly and we'll wait and see if it comes up." Wally reassured her.

Aizawa picked up his students and Camie from the train station and plied them with questions about what they were doing.

"Why did Likstar and West abandon you if they were worried about you coming home alone?" he asked.

"Something came up for them," Momo tried.

"They work at UA and live there, what could possibly come up for them outside of it?" He pressed, then with a note of concern. "Did Miss Joke call them again?"
