"Benny! Benny, I'm bored," Shadow hangs upside down on the couch in his and Bennett's shared room, calling out for poor Bennett repeatedly, "Benny, there's nothing to do here."
Bennett lets out a long sigh as he looks up from the book he was reading, "(Y/N) said to stay put in our rooms until she comes to meet us so get over it."
"Why are you so grumpy?" Shadow questions him in a whiney tone of voice, "Aren't you bored?"
Bennett shakes his head in response, holding up his book for Shadow to see, "No, I'm reading. Why don't you read something? There's plenty of books here," The curly-haired boy gestures to the large wooden bookshelf pushed up against the wall.
"Boring! I hate reading!" Shadow pulls himself off of the couch and sits beside Bennett on his bed, "Is that book really that interesting?"
This earns a long sigh in response from Bennett, "It's not, but there's nothing else to do."
"I've got an idea!" The former mercenary exclaims earning a doubtful look from Bennett, "Let's sneak out! (Y/N) will never know."
"You're more trouble than you're worth."
"You sound just like her now! Wow, amazing!" He pokes Bennett on the cheeks as he observes him closely, "Are you actually (Y/N) in disguise?"
Bennett slaps Shadow's hand away from him in annoyance, "No, but I wish I was so I could stab you with her daggers."
"Scary!" Shadow quips back to his friend's empty threat, "I don't think you have that in you, though."
"If you keep annoying me, you'll find out," Bennett counters, finally closing his book to pay attention to Shadow, "Do you not have any games on your phone or something?"
Shadow seems dumbfounded by his question, "You can play games on your phone?"
"You're hopeless. All you know how to do is kill people," Bennett points out with a long sigh.
"What's your point?" Bennett's vague insult has obviously flown over Shadow's head.
Bennett sweat-drops at this, "I don't have one I guess," He crosses his arms and closes his eyes, seemingly in thought, "What can we do to keep you busy..?" He asks this question more to himself.
An idea suddenly comes to Shadow's mind as he exclaims, "Oh, I know! Do you know any funny stories about (Y/N)?"
"...Is my sister one of the only things you think about?" The curly-haired boy questions Shadow, who simply nods in response, "Yeah, I don't know why I asked. I already knew that."
"What stories do you have, Benny?" Shadow questions him as he playfully elbows him, "I'm sure you have some interesting ones!"
Bennett lets out a defeated sigh as he gives into Shadow's idea, "I do, and I've heard a lot of stories from Leorio, too."
"Ooh, I wish we had some popcorn."
"I'll tell you a story about my sister but you have to pay close attention and you can't get bored and try to leave halfway through!" Bennett states his terms aloud, "Can you do that?"
"Easily. I'm always interested in hearing about (Y/N)," The former mercenary replies with a grin on his face, "What's the story about?"
Bennett clears his throat as he begins telling a story he heard from Leorio, "This all happened before (Y/N)'s accident. She was working as Vice Chairman of the Hunter Association when-"
"Ah, (Y/N), good morning," Cheadle greets you with a smile and a small bow as she approaches your desk, "How are you feeling today?"
"Good. I don't have much work to finish today," You reply as you look up from the meticulous paperwork you were scribbling on, "Did you need something from me?"
