"Okay, (YN), I'm leaving for work now. You are free today, correct?" Kurapika asks you as he is putting his shoes and jacket on.

"Mhm, Cheadle-Sama said I didn't need to come in today," You lean against the armrest of the couch, watching Kurapika with hearts in your eyes.

Kurapika slides his jacket over his shoulders, and buttons it up most of the way. Afterwards, he turns towards you, surprised to see you happily watching him. His surprised expression soon shifts into a smile.

"You really are cute, you know that, right?" He says after letting out a small chuckle, "It's my last day at work today, and then we can spend the weekend together. I hope that's okay, my treasure."

You stand up from where you were leaning, and take a few steps closer to him, offering him a sweet smile, "Of course, my love." You wrap your arms around the back of his neck, and look directly into his gray eyes, "Just don't work too hard."

His features seem to soften as he looks back into your sparkling eyes, "For you, I would do anything." He places his hands on the small of your back, and pulls you in for a short peck on the lips. "I will call you if anything. See you shortly, (Y/N)."

With that being said, he pulls himself away from you (albeit begrudgingly), and turns to walk out the door.

"Be safe! I love you!!" You call out after him, as the door closes behind him. Kurapika's smile doesn't disappear for a second as he walks down the hallway towards the exit.

You let out a deep breath after he's left, and look around the room, deciding what you should do with your free day. 'Maybe I should make him dinner as a surprise..' You head towards the kitchen, and check the cabinets and fridge, finding them to be mostly empty. After several minutes of searching, you give up, and decide that you should go to the grocery store, and pick up some food.

You throw on your jacket, slide on your boots, and throw your bag over your shoulder, before heading out the door. 'I can't believe that I was just a nomad not so long ago,'  You can't help but think to yourself, as you walk down the halls of the apartment building. You exit the apartment building and start walking towards the grocery store. You decide to take a shortcut and pass through the park, enjoying the gently swaying trees, and slight breeze that tickles your skin.

"(Y/N).." A disembodied voice whispers out to you. This strange voice causes you to pause in place, glancing around the area.

'Something doesn't feel right. Something is off.'  You walk forward again, taking slow and cautious steps, only to hear your name being whispered once more.

"(Y/N).." The strange voice breathes out again, "You thought you could steal from the mafia and get away with it?"

Your eyes widen, and you're quick to roll into the shade of a large tree. Your eyes glow (E/C) and you teleport upwards into the branches of the trees. You teleport from tree branch to tree branch, looking for the source of the voice.

"You're getting warmer," The familiar voice taunts you, as you continue making your way up the tree.

After going up a few more meters, you finally come face-to-face with the culprit of the whispers.

"Shadow.. what are you doing here?"

Shadow stands on a branch, leaning up against the tree. His arms are crossed, and he's dressed in all black, like usual. He wears a mask over his face, so that you can only see his dark eyes and dark hair. But you're sure that if you could see the bottom half of his face, you would see a smug smirk on his face as well.

"Took you awhile to find me," Shadow starts in a complacent tone, "I gotta say, I expected more from you."

You stand from your crouched position, and cross your arms, "So, you were the person outside of my apartment.."
