"Yeah, I've been talking to Kurapika as often as I can, but I still miss him being here with me," You explain into your cell phone receiver, leaning back on the couch, "Anyway, don't worry about me, Jaya. How are you doing?"
"I am doing well," Comes Jaya's blunt reply, "Hetti and I are not speaking right now, as she is being extraordinarily stubborn. Other than that, I have nothing new to report on."
You perk up an eyebrow as you question her, "What happened with you and Hetti. Did you two get into a fight?"
Jaya lets out a long sigh, before finally answering your question, "Yes. Hetti is fond of starting arguments over nothing."
You can't help but let out a short chuckle after hearing her reply, "So, it was over something small?"
"Indeed," Jaya goes on to explain, "I cleaned out her side of the closet, and she became upset over the fact that her things were actually organized and not laying around on the floor. She said that now she couldn't find any of her clothes, and stormed off, saying that I should have asked her if it was okay to move her things around."
"She's not completely wrong." You point out to her, "I know you were just trying to do something nice, but you probably should have asked her first."
"So, you are on her side?" Jaya pauses to think for a moment, before letting out a defeated sigh, "I suppose I will go apologize to her."
"Probably for the best."
Jaya tries to change the subject by wondering, "Any idea when Kurapika will be back yet?"
You shake your head, responding with, "No, no idea. It's already been over a month, and the days are going by so slow without him."
"That makes sense," Jaya starts, "Ever since your accident, you have basically spent everyday together."
"Yeah, I know. I'm more worried about something happening to him." You say, confessing your worries to her, "I know he's strong, but I'm still worried."
"That's a normal feeling, (Y/N)." Comes your friend's surprisingly kind reply, "You have every right to worry, but I am sure he will come back safe."
A smile forms on your face after hearing her words, and a relieved feeling washes over you, "Thank you, Jaya. I appreciate that." A thought comes to your mind, and you can't help but wonder, "Have you spoken to Izunavi lately?"
"I have, although it was brief," She continues on to say, "He said he was doing well, but he was teaching someone nen and they weren't catching on very quickly. He asked me to give Cloak his regards."
You let out an exasperated sigh at the use of his old nickname for you, "He can't ever let that go, can he?"
Jaya lets out a short laugh, "I suppose not."
You're about to complain some more, but a knock at the door cuts you off. "Sorry, Jaya. Sounds like I have company. I'll message you. See you."
"Goodbye, (Y/N). Thanks for your advice." She hangs up the phone after she says this.
You shove your phone into your pocket, and walks towards the door, another knock sounding. "Coming!" A few moments later, you pull the door open, and you're disconcerted by the person standing in front of you. "Shadow, why are you-"
"Sorry for showing up unannounced," He says, offering you a smirk. Shadow stands in front of you with no mask on, revealing his full face to you. Instead of wearing his normal fighting outfit, he's wearing something a lot more casual. He pulls out a rose from behind his back, and holds it out to you, "I hope this makes up for it."
