The connection between both (Y/n) and Antisepticeye left them feeling both very different. The power she wielded didn't bring her joy but terrified her. Anti on the other hand had missed being so powerful.
The event wasn't spoken about and it was assumed by all parties it was a bad, dangerous and ignorant idea. Except for Anti of course.
The very fact a person, demon or not, had died by her hands shook (Y/n) to the core. Something that was alive and breathed life was gone. This left a numb feeling that lasted days for her. Nothing could change her demeanor. Everything felt cold.
Die, had taken it upon himself to try and reach out and get to know the young protector since he was the last to meet her.
"She hasn't answered yet," Felix placed his phone back down and continued to work on his computer.
"Ridiculous," Die spat. "She's an average human woman, on the phone constantly. I don't understand."
"I mean — were you there, or?" He lightly laughed a moment. "From what I understand she's new to all of this."
"She's a protector, nonsense, this is the norm."
"Or, hear me out, it's not. You saw that look in her eyes. Petrified."
"You weren't upset witnessing death."
"That's because every time I've seen someone die it wasn't by your hands. I was shaken a bit the first time but — it's all different now. Plus it was only a demon that died, but maybe that means something to her." He stopped typing for a moment then took a sip of his drink. "I'd give her time."
"While Dark and Anti continue 'making friends' with her? I think not. I am behind as it is."
"Behind on what?"
"Never mind, you."
_________________________________"Does Mia need anything from the store? How is she doing?" (Y/n) asked while on the phone.
"She's been carving everything but her staff recently. I don't know — OUCH!"
Mia threw a wooden doll at Olivia's head.
"I'll carve whatever I want, damit!" She yelled from across the room.
(Y/n) smiled, "You should have known that was coming."
"I really should have." Olivia rubbed her head. "I don't need anything from the store. Neither does Mia. Are you alright there?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just keeping myself busy."
"Alright, call me if you need anything hon."
They exchanged goodbyes and hung up.
A thought crossed her mind, why would Mia not carve her staff if she knew how bad the barrier was at the moment. Even (Y/n) knew the importance of having that done yet she was almost procrastinating it seemed.
Before she could get up from her bed her phone began to vibrate again with another phone call. The tag read Die / Felix.
"Hello?"
"(Y/n)! How are you?"
"Is this Die or Felix?"
"It's Die of course."
"..okay how can I help you?"
"Now don't sound so annoyed my friend I called to check up on you."
(Y/n) sighed, "I appreciate that. I didn't mean to come off as so rude. How are you doing?"
"Not well, you see, I feel like — no I know we barely know one another and I'd like to change that."
