"It worked..." (Y/n) breathed, "It really worked."

She gazed at her hands and touched her face feeling much different than when Anti had possessed her.

"Indeed it did," Die laughed, "How do you feel?"

"I feel...light..." She was unsure how to use her newly found wings.

All the holes that were burned or damaged had been filled with what seemed to be golden-colored flesh. Upon gazing it was clear there was no way to ever fly without the repair.

"You must have been in a lot of pain," She touched the smooth surface.

The muscle felt strange as it protruded from her back, like an extended arm, heavy yet strong.

"Die..."

"Yes, my dear (Y/n)?" He was enjoying this moment with her.

"I don't know how to fly..."

"Well it's quite simple, you —" He paused, "This will be more difficult than I thought."

She paused before trying to move the new muscles on her back. The movement itself caused her to lose her footing on top of the platform. Her body fell backward.

(Y/n) let out a yell before her wings seemed to take control of themselves, wrapping around her body to brace for impact.

She hit the ground but did not hurt her. The wings began to unravel from her body.

"What happened?! I didn't do that, I mean I made us fall but —"

"I forced them around you. If I didn't you would have surely broken a bone or two."

She sat up looking around her, "You can do that? Like you can take control?"

"Well, I mean, yes, in a way. You see possession on this level is about communication and working together. Anti was mad with power when in possession of you. I am not power-hungry."

"Okay, I'm open-minded, how do we do that?" (Y/n) stood up and placed her hand on her hips.

Die instructed her to relax her entire body practically letting it fall limp. She breathed in and out multiple times hoping it could make her relax.

"Okay, I think I've got it."

"Good, good, now I'll just —"

Her knees suddenly bent down and with one swoop her wings pushed her body into the sky. Midway into the air, she began to panic at the sudden loss of control in her muscles. She landed on the platform early hanging onto the sign, breathing heavily.

"What happened? Why did you tense up?" Die questioned. "You were doing so well."

"I just — I never felt like that before. I didn't have control. It felt weird."

"It takes time to work together like that."

(Y/n) pulled herself up onto the platform and grabbed her staff, "How much time do you have?"

"Ample, if I am being honest. Felix will not need me back for some time. I can show you the proper way a possession should and can work if you'd like."

"I've got time."

Ample time meant a lot more time than she believed. It didn't bother her that he stayed attached to her. After that night she expected him to be gone by morning, but he was not.

Die decided it would be best if they stayed together in order to better communicate and train for possessions in the future. He explained through the days how important this connection was.
