Passed out on her bed the vibration of (Y/n)'s phone woke her up. The contact read "Mom" on the screen.

"Hello?" She answered, "Mom, where are you?"

"Oh thank god you're safe," Olivia sighed happily, "I'm at Mia's house, she's...she's not feeling so well. I've been staying with her for the last few days."

"Did — Did Mia make a new staff? I know about the barrier."

"It — she started on it. It's in the shed but right now she needs her rest. Are you alright? Don't tell me you brought that demon into the house!"

"No, no I didn't —" She looked at her books on the bed, "I didn't find what I was looking for either in Salem."

"It's alright, can you hold the fort down for a while. I'm going to stay here."

"Yeah, uh, I can do you need me to run anything over to you?"

"No, I'll be back through the week."

Olivia urged her to train while she was gone and to read up on the books she'd given to her previously. She explained to her daughter that the barrier could collapse and that they'd need all the help they could get if that were to happen.

"Oh, and (Y/n)?"

"Yeah, Mom?"

"I'm sorry...I don't know what your thinking, or why you're doing what you're doing, but when I had to hold you back — I felt my heartbreak. I hope — I hope one day you can forgive me."

(Y/n) smiled, "I already do Mom, now it's just up to me and Mia making up."

"Take your time, I think she's in deep thought about it all too. Stay safe, put on the alarms. I love you."

"I love you too Mom, take care."

(Y/n) hung up the phone and let out a long sigh. It was time to do her research.

Although the true history of the 3 demons and Kathryn were a top priority a spark of interest climbed into her mind. If Antisepticeye was able to show kindness, something a demon isn't really able to do, were the demonkind redeemable in some way?

She felt like she was back in college, but with far dirtier textbooks. Dust and dirt sat on her bed and floor and some text barely legible. They all gave definitions and history of the Protectors but there wasn't anything on the huge event between Kathryn and the others.

(Y/n) became frustrated with the lack of progress she was making. She switched over to training with her staff and focusing on her energy rehearsing the training she'd barely paid attention to.

It was going to be a long trip before she ended up where she needed to be, where ever that was.

Days came and went. For a week nothing happened, no visits from Anti, no reaching out from Dark or Mark, or even Sean. Life seemed normal in a way. Olivia came and went and it seemed like nothing had happened.

(Y/n) realized it had been one week since she'd arrived home from Salem with her books. She felt as though she'd plateaued in her progress and the only person who knew more 1. Most likely didn't want to talk to her. 2. Wouldn't give her the truth and 3. Most likely have the answers she was looking for.

She placed her arms over her head covering her eyes and letting out a long breath.

"Frustrated?" Darkipler spoke up.

Her body jumped upward quickly gazing around the room. She spotted him standing at her dresser with his hands behind his back studying a picture in a picture frame. A long sleeve black t-shirt and grey joggers covered his body as well as glasses and messy hair.
