Crockett's POV:

I'm the first one to say something, after a couple minutes in a painful silence. "Look, Natalie, it's no big deal, I mean, Will and I sorted it out, right?" I ask looking at Will, 'work with me now' I think. "Uh- yeah, I guess we did" he says hesitantly. I shortly sigh, somewhat disappointed by his hesitant reaction, but then look at Natalie, to see if she'll believe it. By now she has crossed her arms and is still keeping her eyes fixed on Will. "Fine" she finally says "but God, if I ever see something like this again, I swear-" but I cut her off. "It won't happen again, no worries" I say calming.

God, I feel like a 5-year old who just got reprimanded for throwing sand in each other's faces.

Natalie sighs deeply, closes her eyes, and stumbles backwards a little. I put my arms behind her back to catch her, just in case, "Hey, you ok?" I ask worried. "I'm fine" she sighs "just been a long day". I lower my arms, wanting to take her hand to give her a sign that everything is fine, but before I know it, Natalie faints and falls backwards.

I drop on my knees to catch her in my arms, her face looking completely exhausted. I quickly pick her up, and run to the door for the stairs. "Will" I shout angrily, for him to open the door. He finally moves, after just standing there looking at pale Natalie, and opens the door.

I enter the ED practically running, and make eye contact with Maggie, who gets a shocked expression on her face. "Mags, she passed out, I need a treatment room!" I yell at her. "There aren't any, everything is full" she says, desperately trying to look if anything is empty. "Find something!" I say, myself walking through the ED, looking for free beds.

To my luck, I just notice a free room, "over here" I yell at Maggie, and she rushes over. I gently lay Natalie down on the bed, and start checking her vitals, as Maggie hooks her up to the monitor. "Her vitals are normal" Maggie says, and I sigh in relief. "She's probably just dehydrated", 'I hope' I think to myself, "did she already take a break?" I ask Maggie. She shakes her head. "Ok, ok, then I'm guessing it's that. Uh- ok lets get her some saline, and Mags please set up the ultrasound. I just wanna be sure" I say, carefully stroking Natalie's hair whilst Maggie carries out my orders.

Natalie's POV:

A few hours later, the power has been restored

I open my eyes, and the blackness slowly fades away, as I see Crockett sitting across from me, seemingly nervous. "Hey" I say in a raspy voice, as my throat is really dry. I see Crockett's eyes shoot up to meet mine. "Hey" he says with a relieved smile, and sighs deeply, "you're up". I smile a little and nod, "would y- could you" I mutter, "what is it?" he asks. My throat is too dry to create a sentence, so I just say "water".

Crockett quickly grabs a cup filled with water from some cabinet and hands it to me. I take a couple of sips, while Crockett continuously strokes my hair and just looks at me. "I'm fine" I say with a little laugh. He sighs, and looks like he does not want to start a discussion. "I'm just glad you both are ok" he says, and kisses me on the forehead. I smile, and just accept him taking care of me.

Again a few hours later

Both Crockett and Maggie finally let me go home, and I grab Crockett's hand, since either one of our shifts are over. I rest my head on his shoulder, and to my surprise Will runs up to us. I take my head off of Crockett's shoulder, and give Will and annoyed look.

"Look, I'm sorry to bother you guys right now, I just, I wanted to apologise Crockett, for earlier, it's-" he starts, but Crockett cuts him off, "it's fine man, no worries" he says and nods. I extravagantly raise my eyebrows, and look at Crockett, and his blue nose, then back at Will. I sigh, shake my head, and let it go for now, because I'm too tired to deal with this any further. I guess boys will always be boys...

Crockett opens the door for me, but I quickly put my hand in his again, as his are nice and warm, but mine, oh man, those are just frozen. I yet again rest my head on his shoulder, and he lays his head on mine, as we walk to the car silently.

Once, at home, I settle myself on the couch with a nice blanket and some coffee. "You want me to make you dinner?" Crockett yells from the kitchen.  "No, I'm good, thanks" I yell back. I see his head peek around the corner, "c'mon Nat, you have to eat!" he says, "we can even order take-out if you want?". "But I'm not hungry" I say, and he frowns. "I won't leave 'til you tell me what we're going to eat" he says with a challenging look. I chuckle and give in, "fineee, uhm- ooh, that lasagna you always make, I love that one!" I say. "Comin' right up" he says with a smirk, and dissappears into the kitchen. I giggle, and turn on the TV.

Once we've finished our dinner, I lay the blanket over both of us, grab his hands. "Thanks honey" I say and smile. "See? I told you I'd get you to eat" he says with charisma. I laugh, and kiss him, "I love you so much, you know that?" I say. "Oh definitely" he says, "I love you so much too" and kisses me again. He puts his arm around my, and I snuggle into his chest, as he puts on one of my favourite movies, until we both end up falling asleep on the couch.

Again.
