Sick

It had been a couple months since Cassie and Bryan met a comic con and he was on his way over again.

Cassie rolls out of bed and instantly regrets it, she rushes to the bathroom and throws up her midnight snack.

Bryan walks in and calls for Cassie but gets no answer so he makes his way to her room thinking she was probably still sleeping, soon realizing that wasn't the case.

"Hey, are you okay?" Bryan asks now knocking on the bathroom door.

"Y-Yeah... You can come in"

Bryan slowly opens the door and see's Cassie on the floor, he quickly but carefully walks over to her and pulls her to him. "Oh honey you're burning up" He says softly.

"I'm cold" Cassie says quietly

"Come on, let's get you back to bed" Bryan says softly, slowly getting up with Cassie in his arms.

Cassie clings to Bryan and closes her eyes tightly.

Bryan tightens his hold on Cassie as he walks to the bedroom. When he lays her down he goes to get up but is stopped.

"C-can you stay?" Cassie asks softly

"Yeah, I'll stay Baby" Bryan says not even thinking twice about what he was saying. He slips out of his shirt and pants and lays down beside her, she clings to him and she soon falls asleep...

After a while Bryan gets up and goes to make Cassie something to eat that would be gentle on her stomach but he wasn't sure what to make so he calls his Mom...

(B's Mom) "Hey Honey"

(B) "Hey... What's the best thing to make for someone who is sick?"

(B's Mom) "Usually Chicken Broth or Beef Broth with some crackers and water. Why is everything okay?"

(B) "Yeah, it's just Cassie isn't feeling good so I want to make her something to eat so it might help her feel better"

(B's Mom) "Ohhh... I see, if she has a fever give her some ibuprofen to help with that"

(B) "Okay Mom, Thanks"

(B's Mom) "You're welcome sweetheart. I love you, you take care of that girl, you hear?"

(B) "I love you too Mom, and yeah, I will... I'm gonna try to keep his one..."

(B's Mom) "Well, she sounds like someone who has been hurt a lot so just prove to her you won't hurt her"

(B) "I'm trying my best"

(B's Mom) "You got this Honey"

(B) "Thanks Mom"
*beep*

Bryan sets his phone down and looks for the things his Mom told him to make but he soon finds she has none so he calls Hank.

(H) "Hello?"

(B) "Hey, it's Bryan... um...what are you doing?"

(H) "Sitting on the couch with Connor, why?"

(B) "Well, Cassie is sick and she doesn't have anything to eat so is there any possible way you could bring like some broth and crackers for her?"

(H) "Yeah, give me like 20 minutes"

(B) "Okay thank you"

(H) "You're welcome"
*Beep*

Bryan sets his phone down yet again and looks over and sees Cassie's phone charging.

Cassie had started charging her phone in the kitchen at night because it had started going off so much one night she got tired of it.

Just as Bryan went to leave the kitchen it started ringing, he was gonna let it ring until he saw it was her best friend Shannon, so he decided to answer it.

(B) "Hello"

(S) "Hey, where's Cass"

(B) "She's still asleep, she woke up sick this morning"

(S) "Oh? So are you living with her now?"

(B) "No, I just came over to hang out with her and she was throwing up when I came in"

(S) "Oh, I see... So you're just staying with her here and there?"

(B) "Yeah, We actually planned to go to the mall today but she's gonna stay in bed today"

(S) "That's fair, keep me posted on how she's doing"

(B) "I will. Her Uncle is bringing her some gentle foods so I'm hoping that will make her feel better"

(S) "I hope so, she doesn't get sick often but when she does she gets bad so keep a close eye on her"

(B) "That's good to know. I will, Thank you"

(S) "You're welcome, I'll let you get back to Cass then"
*Beep*

When Bryan got of the phone Hank walked through the door with a bunch of bags. "What did you get?"

"I got four things of broth and three boxes of crackers, cookies, three cases of sprite and like six of my hoodies from the house and Connor threw in a few pairs of his joggers he said she could keep if she wanted" Hank says in a rushed tone "Where is she!"

"Upstairs, she was asleep last time I was up there" Bryan says softly and starts emptying the bags.

Hank practically runs upstairs and into Cassies bedroom and kneels by her bed beside her.

"Hey sweetie" Hank says softly and kisses her head, to which Cassie responds with a soft hum as her eyes open slowly.

"What are you doing here?" Cassie asks, rubbing her eyes.

"Bryan called, he said you weren't feeling good"

Cassie nods and sits up slowly. "I brought you some sprite, crackers, cookies, and some soup, I think Bryan is working on making you some. I also brought you some comfy clothes from the house"

Cassie smiles tiredly and starts to get up. Looking down at herself she has a confused look "Where did these come from?" She asks, she had gone to bed in a bra and panties and woke up in a hoodie and shorts.

"I dunno" Hank shrugs and helps Cassie up.

"Maybe Bryan put them on you"

"Maybe" Cassie nods and leans against Hank as they walk downstairs.

Cassie looks into the Kitchen and sees Bryan cooking so she goes into the living room and lays down on the couch.

After a few minutes Cassie wakes up to Bryan sitting in front of her shaking her gently. "Hey, I figured you'd like something to eat" Bryan says softly

"What happened?" Cassie asks

"You fell asleep" Hank says softly 

"Oh... So-"

"Don't apologize, you need rest. Eat and go back to bed, I've got to go get Connor and go to the station" Hank says, kissing Cassie's head softly. Cassie nods and takes the bowl Bryan was holding out to her.

Bryan sat on the couch by Cassie and puts his arm around her shoulder as she slowly eats.

"Are you feeling any better?" Bryan asks

"A little..." Cassie says softly as she leans into Bryan's chest

"You're not as hot as you were this morning." Bryan says softly
"That came out wrong...Didn't it?"

"Yeah it did" Cassie giggles "I know what you mean though"

Bryan blushes and grabs the blanket off the back of the couch and covers them up and turns the tv on. "What would you like to watch?"

"You pick" Cassie yawns and sets her bowl on the coffee table.

Bryan smiles and nods and turns on Alice in Wonderland, knowing Cassie wouldn't be awake much longer so he just turned it on for background noise so Cassie could go to sleep.
