Happy Again

A month into this endeavor, Jake found a positive pregnancy test and started shouting at and hitting Cassie. To which he was arrested, taken to court, and locked away within a week. As well as told he would never have any legal rights to his child until he or she is an adult.

Two months later, Cassie sold her house and moved in with Bryan. She was currently sitting on the couch with her hands on her baby bump. She felt bad for Jake to an extent, she didn't think anyone should have to go though life without their child but she also knew there was no was he could safely be around the child.

Bryan came back into the living room and kneeled in front of his girlfriend. "How you feeling?" He asks. "Relieved and bloated" Cassie states. "You want some more pizza?" Bryan asks. "Yes! I would love some"

Sitting on the couch, stuffing her face, Cassie looks to Bryan. "Are you sure you want to put your name on the birth certificate? I can leave it blank" Cassie says quietly. "I'm sure Baby, unless you don't want me on it" Bryan says softly. "No I do... I just don't want you to think you have to do this." Bryan smiles softly and kisses Cassie softly "I don't think there's anything that could make me feel like I have to, pushing aside how this happened, I'm pretty damn excited" he whispers.

"Come on, let's go to bed" Cassie smiles, without another word, Bryan picks Cassie up and they go to their bedroom, they both take off everything but their underwear, Cassie changed out of her normal bra and into a loose sports bra so she could sleep comfortably. As soon as Cassie laid down she was asleep but Bryan on the other hand couldn't sleep.

"I wish the baby was actually mine but I am gonna love it like it is" Bryan whispers, he looks down at Cassie's little Baby bump and rubs it gently, careful not to wake her up. "I'm gonna be the best Daddy I can be and you're gonna have the best life a kid could ask for." Bryan had moved down and wrapped his arms around Cassie and laid his head on her stomach, where he fell asleep with a smile on his face.

*Six month mark*

Three more months had gone be and fairly quickly. Cassie was rather big now, she was constantly hungry and she done nothing but cry. She cried when Bryan would leave, she cried when Jack moved in with Gab, she even cried when her best friend Shannon left the Café the other day.

Shannon was actually coming over today to help plan a baby shower, they didn't need to have one but Cassie always loved the thought of having one so her and Bryan finally agreed on it.

"So... you don't know the due date or the gender?" Shannon asks.

"No... The doctor has yet to tell us the due date but we want to be surprised for the gender" Cassie explains.

"Okay... "If bringing gifts for Baby, be sure clothes, pacifiers and socks are gender neutral. Gender is not yet known" That sound okay?"

"Sounds perfect" Cassie smiles.

"Bryaaannnn" She calls out.

After a few minutes, Bryan emerged from the dark staircase. "Yes Baby?" He asks.

"The baby wants sweet and sour chicken from that once place and cheese burgers you can find... from Uncle Hank's" Cassie pouts.

"Okay, let me get shoes on and hunt down my keys. Shan you want anything?" Bryan asks.
