Once inside, Bryan saw someone and something he never wanted to see again...

Cassie was standing in the living room wrapped in a blanket, blood dripping down her legs, her clothes she had been wearing were scattered throughout the room and Cassie was crying her eyes out and to top it all off, her ex was standing right next to her with a smile.

Bryan told Jack to wait outside, stay out of sight and stay quiet, he give him his phone and told him to call Hank if something went wrong.

"Baby what happened?" Bryan asks softly, before Cassie could speak her ex chimed it. "Yeah sweetheart, why don't you tell him... Tell him what you begged me to do to you" he smirks.

"Can you give us like two minutes Jake?" She asks looking up at him.

"Times ticking" He says with a nod and leaves the room.

"He threatened to kill you if I didn't have sex with him... and I have to break up with you..." Cassie whispers, falling into Bryan's arms.

"Baby... Why didn't you call me, or Hank?" Bryan asks.

"I couldn't get to my phone before he smashed it... just meet me at Uncle Hank's tomorrow, have him come pick me up for dinner and we'll get it figured out" Cassie whispers. "You need to go before he hurts you... Please... I'm so sorry B... Just please we'll get it figured out"

Bryan only nods as tears fill his eyes. "I love you" he whispers. "I love you too" with that Bryan left, he hated himself for leaving her alone with him but he knew from the look in her eyes, she had a plan.

"Ya can't just fuckin leave her!!" Jack shouts. "Jack, there's not much I can do, I'm gonna do what she says and we'll get it figured out, we'll meet at Hank's tomorrow if you and Gabs wanna be there" Bryan says as calmly as he can.

"Bryan... You can't do this to yourself... you're not gonna sleep a wink until she's safe and you know it... why don't we call Hank now and have him go pick her up tonight?" Jack suggests.

"And get them both killed?! No, we'll wait, we go to Hank's first thing tomorrow, they're asleep right now I'm sure, they're off tomorrow and it's gonna be fine... Right now Cassie is as safe as she can possibly be... she can leave and be back before he gets back there from work tomorrow" Bryan replies.

"I hope it's as easy as you think" Jack sighs.

"She has to know where he lives and what he does because of the Restraining order so she can steer clear of him and he has to know where she lives and where she works so he can stay away from her... However... if the restraining order has expired, he's no longer breaking any laws... other than possibly trespassing or breaking and entering but I didn't see any forced entry so that would be ruled out and if there's not any no trespassing signs up that can also be excused..." Bryan explains.

"You're fucking kidding me..." Jack sighs.

"Not to mention... if she let him in..."

"I get it!!" Jack yells.

"Why are so calm right now?!" He asks

"Because, I trust that Cassie has a plan and if she says we'll figure it out then we'll figure it out... Right now there's nothing we can do to make this situation any fucking better so shut up and calm down!!" Bryan snaps.

Jack didn't expect this so with more shock than anything, he kept his mouth shut until they got to Bryan's house.

"Hey, I thought you were gonna bring Cassie back with you?" Gab asks. "We were but this dumb fuck  left her alone with her ex" Jack huffs. Gab looked over to Bryan with concern.

"Yeah... he pretty much took her away from me by threatening he was gonna kill me... she told me to wait it out for tonight and we'll take care of it tomorrow" Bryan sighs.

"Let's go to bed" Jack says, taking Gab's hand and walking to his bedroom.

"Sean... I know you're upset but if Bryan didn't think what he did was the right thing he wouldn't have done it... I'm not trying to make it seem like I'm taking sides here but maybe this is for the best... Let him handle it tomorrow"

"Bryan said she told us to meet her at her Uncle's tomorrow" Jack says in a more calm tone.

"Okay, then that's what we're gonna do... Now, I'm gonna go take a shower if you want to join" Gab says with a wink before walking away. Jack grins and follows her.

Bryan groans as he lays down on his bed, he went through his phone reading the messages between him and Cassie. He hated that he agreed to wait out the night but he knew Cassie had a plan.

Bryan started silently praying, something he hadn't done in a while but he hoped it helped, before Bryan knew it he was fast asleep.

Cassie looked over to the huge sleeping man beside her, she slipped out of bed and snatched her SIM and SD cards out of her phone and slipped them into the pocket of the pants she was wearing tomorrow, knowing she had an old, working phone at Hanks. She then slipped back into bed and laid awake for the rest of the night.
