Aftermath of Dealing with Tracker

Marshall's POV

*A FEW MINUTES EARLIER*

I looked to see mortar equipment. I felt like this was going too far. I sighed "Is this war?"

"No, turf war of revenge and bloodlust. It's what Bret would want." Everest answered quietly. I looked back at her "You think?" She giggled, I remained quiet.

"Oh, you're serious." She stopped giggling and focused on the situation. "I think we have to bombard the house with, these things." I took a pill from my bag, hoping it would keep me calm and not let me breakdown.

I grabbed this "thing" and put it in the launcher, "Wait, these are mortars!" I quickly realized these were mortars. I let one get launched for a test shot.

"Careful Marshall, we have lots of allies here!" Bret called in the radio. I had to get everyone prepared for the next one, "Next mortar! T-Minus one minute!" I yelled into the radio.

I launched another one and ran with Everest, we sprinted across, we grabbed hands and just got out of there. I called in the radio "Can anyone hear me?" Nothing.

Again, "Hello?" I couldn't hear anything, it was just silent.

"We hear you! Radio signal was down due to the... Explosion?" Bret called in the radio. I giggled to myself.

"Oh Marshall, the places we'll go." Everest hugged me and I hugged back. The past I have will not take me. Only hard work, love and friendship will, (and old age).

We arrived to see a house on fire, Bret shot in the collarbone hugging his father knowing he's alive and Bolt crying on his knees knowing he stopped Tracker.

I heard Bret start singing Gas Mask by Rare Americans (go listen to their songs, they are the bomb!)

"Yes! We did it!" I yelled.

I heard a yell back "Not really." It was Rocky, what was He doing here?

"Rocky? What or why are you here?" I asked really confused.

"Well... I got us a enlistment for something." Rocky didn't sound too happy, more scared.

"For what?" Bret asked sincerely. He looked around and said nothing after.

I guess Rocky didn't want to say anything but he did say something.

"Training for... I don't want to tell you." Rocky stood up.

"You have to tell me!" Bret started yelling.

"Fine! We're going into a Warzone where some of us could die!" Rocky shoved Bret. He didn't seem to budge.

"Pathetic. Weakest shove ever." He didn't want to yell at Rocky.

"This won't solve anything. Besides, I'm not fit for this thing, Rocky. And you know that." Bret shook his head in Disbelief. He was right, but Bret needed to learn that he will one day need to get out of his comfort zone.

"No... my life is here Rocky." He sat there, quiet. Hoping to get a response.

"Yes, have something to give honor within us, all of us." Rocky gave Bret a paper with the training regiment they would be with.

"We need five people for this... operation? Wait." Bret looked at Rocky.

He looked in Shock, "Rocky... What are you trying to get involved with? We're all 16!"

They all looked at the paper surprised that Rocky and Bret's name are on the paper. Bret was Just inside the SWAT truck, Bandaged and all. I went over to Bret and asked, "Are you sure you signed up for this?"

"No. I don't remember signing any papers!" He was practically yelling.

I calmed him, "That Asshat is gonna get it soon." Bret Murmured, Letting his head droop down.

Why would Bret have something against Rocky? Like, Seriously? This never happens between them. But I guess sometimes things happen.

That's when a Bomb went off, right next to me and Bret. "That, was close." Bret sprinted out of the truck and yelled, "Everybody get back! There's a bomb somewhere! GET BACK!" He wouldn't stop yelling at everyone to get back.

He stopped eventually and finally calmed down, refusing to lose everything to this world threw at him. He sat down and pulled out his gun from earlier.

Bret whispered, "Keep me safe from the Warzone, Amen." Bret seemed to grip the gun, determined to keep living on. "I need Honor, I want honor." He whispered.

Then an angel came from the sky, "Do not worry my child, you'll be safe from harms way." Bret looked around like WTF.

"My child, do not be afraid, I'm your safe path through this hard time." Bret still was confused, hoping to figure out what was going on, "Child, don't be afraid, the path towards Your wings."

Bret asked, "What? How... do you know that?" He seemed pale and looking like a ghost.

"Because," the Angel started, "you want them right?" Bret nodded in joy.

"Here, the gift of angels." Bret flew up in joy.

Finally He had his Angel wings. But what was he gonna do with his new power?

"Give, give, give to the people." Bret chanted. Everyone joined in the chant. After about 5 minutes, everyone went silent.

"Rocky, We can do this." Bret was now talking to Rocky. Looking at him, he stared deep in his eyes.

"Something wrong?" Everest was now talking to me. I shook my head, she nodded.

"I think we should join Those two in whatever they do. Promise?" I asked Everest, she giggled and said, "Sure."

We went over an agreed to join them, "Wait. Really?" Bret seemed surprised and kept talking, "What about you Everest? Wouldn't your dad be angry?" She didn't answer.

Marshall looked back at the crowd cheering happily that Tracker was dead and so was his crew, well... Mostly, about 20-30 dead at least. "Rocky, this might be dangerous but, it's worth a shot."

"Although," Bret started, "We need one more person." Bret looked around and saw his final person they would use to help in the Warzone. Who was it? Who would he need?

No, not his dad. That's too messed up for that to even happen. Chase? No, he's in jail for who knows how long? Anyways we ended up talking about life and other stuff that revolved around school.

"What do you think the school will think about us doing this? I mean Mr.Blake will probably excuse us. Well, mostly the principal. What would think of doing this? Everest answered. But I think we're ready to live in a Warzone.

Bret asked, "For how long are we in the zone for?" Rocky answered, "About 30-35 days."

They seemed happy about this, we are putting our lives of the line for Christ almighty's sake! And that was only the beginning.
