"Really? Why are we going up?" Everest shrugged.

"Just do it." Bret started hyperventilating, shaking with every breath.

Everest pushed the button and the elevator went up, they stood silent waiting for the "Ding!" to sound.

Bret removed his mask and hat, "I'm sweating so bad."

"Your hiding your face. Of course, you'd be sweating." Everest mocked.

Bret pulled out his phone, "This is it. Floor 15."

Bret and Everest took deep breaths, "I got this. You got this."

Bret walked to room 1547, Bret felt a ghostly presence near the room, "What's this feeling?"

"It's like, terror." Everest trembled.

"Hold on to me." Bret grabbed Everest's hand.

She did as told, now trembling even faster. Bret grabbed the door and opened it, "Holy crap."

The room was almost frozen in time, the two looked at each other. They couldn't believe it. It took only 5 steps before Everest tried to leave.

"You're not going anywhere. We're a team remember?" Bret tightened his hand with Everest's hip.

"Right, it just feels scary in here." Everest whimpered.

They walked closer to the bathroom, "Jesus Christ. They didn't clean up the scene good enough."

'The hell? That's weird.' Everest thought, "What do you mean by that?"

"We had sex in this room," Bret admitted.

"God, you're weird." Everest facepalmed.

"I at least survived Tracker nearly killing me and Skye almost got raped in that corner." Bret pointed to the same corner where it almost happened, "I'm her hero, not her useless piece of a shit snake of a friend."

"Arrogance, here it is." Everest stood a few inches taller than Bret, she stood 6 feet tall, and Bret stood a whopping 5 feet 9 1/2 inches.

"How is that arrogance?" Bret scoffed.

"I don't know, I stand right in front of it." Bret leaned close to yell at her when a tear was visible coming down her cheek, "Are you crying?"

Everest nodded, "I don't know why I yell at people."

"Hey, we all yell at each other." Bret soothed, caressing Everest's cheek, "No need to cry, darling."

Everest kissed Bret, 'Do you like me? Or is this from when you owed me another kiss?'

Everest slid her tongue into his mouth. Again, 'Jesus Christ, give me a warning next time.'

Everest pulled back relatively quickly, swallowing rather faster than Bret thought.

"I have my EMF reader with me." Bret showed the device.

"It's not haunted dumbass." Everest sighed.

"It would still be creepy though." Bret pointed the device at the bed.

"True. Awesome idea, terrible timing." Everest giggled.

Bret laughed as well, taking the EMF and putting it closer to the chair Skye slept on, "That's where she slept. Right on that chair."

"That's where she face-timed me as well." Everest widened her eyes, "I called her on the chair, then you woke up. She ended the call as soon as you woke up."
