Part 4 of 4: Loading up for Pogoren!
Everest's POV
It was morning already, I walked out, stretch, and still saw Ed on the ground, he looked dead.
"Morning." Bret had a cup of coffee.
"Oh, morning." I looked back at Ed's corpse.
"Is he dead?" Bret kicked the corpse.
"Ow..." a soft grunt came out of Ed, how was he even alive?
"Ed?" Bret kicked again.
"Ow!" He got up and yelled at Bret.
"Well, that's great." He stood there, straight-faced. When Marshall walked out of the tents.
"Morning, Sunshine." Marshall hugged me good morning.
"Morning, Tallboy," I called back.
"Well everyone's up, except Rocky," Bret exclaimed.
"Bret! I'm up! I'm just packing books with me!" Rocky called from inside the tents.
"Why? Oh, that's right." Bret recalled last night.
I looked around and it was pretty busy.
Our group was heading out and we only had 4 hours left at the base, America.
Here was the plan, Bret would sneak guns, Marshall would sneak food and Rocky would grab Tools for every place there. But It didn't work but our Commander, let us go with what we had.
"We're not thieves, we need things for our survival!" Bret started fighting Ed because of resources.
I ignored the fight for now. I had to get painkillers for Marshall.
I went to the Doctor's office for them.
"How many things of painkillers?" The Doctor asked.
"As many as we need for Marshall because he has PTSD and our survival looking at about a month," I replied very calmly.
"Well, I could give all I have but, I don't have enough for one whole month." The Doctor shook his head. With a sorry look on his face.
I went to the skills training and asked J.J for bartering advice.
"Oh hey Everest! What can I help you with?" J.J asked.
"Bartering Advice. Like what should I trade for what we need."
"Oh! Uh, guns are your best way to make deals with other traders."
"Oh, okay. Thank you!" I nodded and left.
Bret was grabbing something. It looked scary.
"What is that?" I asked concerned.
"A rifle, a VSS Vintorez to be exact," Bret told me, very devious of him.
"The gun's barrel is already a suppressor." He wanted me to hold it.
"I'm not the guard Bret," I told him confused.
"I know." Bret was now scaring me.
"I got to sleep last night. So I just had a cup of coffee." Bret shook after he said that.
"Caffeine! Am I right?" He sat down.
I went to find Marshall, where was he?
Rocky's POV
I love books, maybe a little too much. I'm a nerd and I can't believe I'm going to be in Pogoren.
"Eh, could be better." I talked to Bret.
