"I don't believe it. I've been accused on suspicion of abusing Skye. I'm innocent." Bret mumbled to himself.
He sits at home, waiting for someone to call him, "Can this day be any worse?"
A knock on the door is heard, "Who could that be?" Bret asked. He walks over and opens the door. There stands a young man in his late twenties or early thirties. He's tall with blue eyes and short brown hair.
"Hello, young man!" The tall man greets, "How are you today?"
"Not good." Bret sighs, "Who are you?"
"I'm Daxton Irving." Daxton greets, "Attorney-at-law."
"Oh, I've heard of you." Bret shrugs.
"Well then, let me take your statement," Daxton offers as he pulls out a recorder and hands it to Bret. "Is that all right?"
Bret nods, "Yes. Thank you very much." He takes the recorder and nods again before giving Daxton an awkward smile.
Daxton smiles back, "Are you good with your statement?"
"Yes, thank you." Bret shakes his head, "I have to go now."
Daxton follows him out of the room and closes the door behind them. There's a car waiting for him outside, and he gets in it while Daxton walks to the front entrance.
Bret goes home and ponders, "First, I'm cut from baseball. Second, I get accused of something I didn't do. How fucked am I?"

Frank goes home, "Hey, Mom."
Frank's mom, Delilah, speaks, "Honey! You scared me."
"Whoops. Anyway, Is Dad home yet? I want to go to the batting cages with Damien and Bret." Frank shrugs, "Besides, I need to talk to both of them."
"Alright. I'll get you there." Delilah sighs, "You'll be fine."
Damien walked through the door, "Hey, Mrs. Wright."
Frank turned around, "Ready to go to the batting cages?"
Damien laughed, "You know it!"
The duo looked over to see Bret walking along the sidewalk carrying his baseball glove, his Easton "Quantum Leap" baseball bat, and a World Baseball Classic hat with the logo "CR" on the front.
Damien speaks softly, "Woah, there's an easy way to hurt your wrist."
Bret looks at Damien, "What are you talking about?"
"I remember when I first got my bat." Damien smiles.
"I'm heading over to the batting cages. It's not that far of a walk." Bret shrugs, "Need to get this off of my mind."
"What? The accusation?" Frank asked as he stepped out of the house, fumbling with his shoes.
Bret nods, "My reputation will be ruined, but I'll rebuild."
The boys decide to walk over to the batting cages talking about; girls, sports, and how much their gear was worth, typical guy things. They arrived at The Brickyard Batting Cages.
"Oh, man! I can't wait to swing at stuff I like." Bret laughs, "NOT what Coach calls a strike."
