"Anna, You can always trust me."

"I know."

"I will never hurt you."

"Okay."

*~*~*~

The car ride home from the party was silent. I had told someone a little part about my life. I am happy Amos just looked out the window the entire ride because if he asked me anything I think I would have told him everything. If I ever told Amos everything he wouldn't do what I say anymore, then I wouldn't get my extra credit. I pull onto the school grounds and park in my spot. I turn off the ignition and wait for Amos to exit it. He doesn't he just sits in his spot looking out the window. We sit for a few minutes in silence until Amos speaks.

"Who is that on the building steps?"

I look up confused. On the steps is a boy I can't see his face he is leaning up against the building with a leg bent and his arm hanging over it.

"I don't know," I say slightly scared.

"I will walk you to your door," Amos says. I don't try to tell him no because he will just find out more about me then. Amos gets out of the car while I sit staring ahead at the strange person. Amos walks around the front of the car and opens the passenger door letting me out, "Hold my hand," he whispers in my ear. I nod with a small smile playing the game. He holds out his hand and I take it. I instantly feel the sparks in my fingertips. I shiver a little at his touch. We slowly walk towards my dorm building, acting like we were just on a date. I give a small fake laugh as Amos pretends to whisper in my ear. It goes perfectly until the guy stands up.

"Anna," I hear a familiar voice say. I instantly know who it is. I stop in my tracks my free hand coving my mouth as I gasp.

"Tony," I say my voice soft and timid. I don't move anymore. The boy walks into the light. His blonde hair in front of his eyes and his hands in his school uniform pocket. He must have driven up here right after school.

"I missed you so much," Tony says then looks up. His green eyes blazing into mine. He towers over me, which means he has grown.

"I-I. Hi Tony," I manage. My grip secretly tightens in Amos's hand showing him I am not comfortable. He squeezes back, and for some reason that makes me feel calmer.

"You look so different," Tony says.

Tony is my ex boyfriend. Actually he is the only boyfriend I had ever had. We were perfect for each other. I mean we got each others jokes, and we laughed. Our first kiss was what I had always imagined a kiss would be like. Then I caught him cheating on me. I didn't tell him at first I just acted normal. I explored around asked questions and I found out that he was cheating on me this whole time. Not even with the same girl so many others. I couldn't be mad at just one of them I had to be mad at all of them. That I guess is how I started going to parties. I would go with him. I would tell him I was going home without him I never went home though I always caught him. Flirting with so many girls. I was crushed, I got the first tattoo on my leg after that. It is a broken heart to remind me never to be quick to fall or I will get hurt.

"Who are you," Amos asks.

"I am Tony. Anna's ex," Tony says. I look away from both of them biting my lip. I want to yell at him. I want to do so many things. I control my anger and let go of Amos's hand and start to walk away.

"Anna," Amos yells. My hand feels bare without his hand intertwined with it. I clench my fist slowly turning around.

"Tony. IF you don't leave before I get to the door I will call the police on you," I say with a strong intimidating voice.

"Anna, I came to say something. I love you," Tony says.

I don't control my anger anymore.

"YOU CAN'T SAY THAT! YOU LOST THAT PRIVILEGE FOUR YEARS AGO WHEN YOU BROKE MY HEART," I yell taking big angry steps towards him. When I am close enough I give him a fake smile and slap him across the face, "I. Hate. You. Tony, get over me." After that I walk to the door opening it. I take a peek back and see Amos standing there dumbfounded.

I secretly hope he would run after me.
