I wake with a heavy arm across my torso. My breathing hitches in my throat and I quickly look to see myself fully dressed, I smile feeling relived. I turn my head a little to see Amos dead asleep. He has a small smile on his face and his hair is messed up a bit. How did he even get in here? I know I locked the door. I try to pry myself out from under his arm. I try to lift it up and I almost do but he just puts his legs over mine next. I sigh in defeat poke him in his side trying to wake him up.
"What they heck" He mumbles confused closing his eyes once again. He hasn't fully woken up so I guess he can't tell that his basically laying on top of me.
"I should be asking that look at this awkward position," I say. He opens his eyes. He does a double take and jumps away from me as if I have the plague.
"That is awkward,"
"Yeah. How did you even get in here I locked the door," I question.
"I didn't get in I was in the bathroom when you came in and I found you," he explains scratching the back of his neck.
"Why didn't you just leave," I ask. Did her seriously have to fall asleep with me?
"This is going to sound wierd, but I wanted to protect you," Amos says. I roll my eyes. I can protect myself, "I can tell you don't trust easily. Which is why you have told me nothing about your past. I also know you had an interesting one I mean I have seen your tattoo on your collar bone. Don't even pretend like it is a birthmark because I have tattoos and know what they look like. I feel like with your sleepy state some guy might somehow get in and, and I don't know I just wanted to protect you. I don't know why. I haven't even had a single drink." Amos is blushing by this point.
"I don't need protecting." I mumble, "The tattoo, is a birthmark I promise." I say. Instantly I realize how acustumed to lying I have become. First before I came here it was my life. Now I lie about my life still. Has anything really changed?
"Wow. You are tough. Do you want to see mine? Not many people get to," Amos says. I can tell he is nervous. He kindof reminds me of Tobias from Divergent. I nod. I half expect to see skulls and meaningless tattoos all over his torso. He pulls off his shirt in one swift movement and sits up straighter. So he can have good posture. I don't look at him at first, but I soon move my eyes to his chest. Over his heart he has a simple cross just two straight black lines intersecting. I tilt my head a little looking at it.
"The cross symbolizes God obvioulsy. It was my first tattoo I got it when I was 17 after my little brother died. He was such a religion nerd. He wanted to be a pastor," Amos explains. I move along. On the same side of his chest he has a compass withe the words 'Always follow your dreams'. I move up to his eyes questioning him, "The compass I got for my mom. She also died when I was 7 she always told me to follow my dreams." I frown. He has lost so many people. I move down and around his waist are two lines that go all the way around it. I know what they are instantly those are the 'these many people who important to me died' tattoos.
"You only have three," I mumble.
"I only need three to show how much I loved those two people in my life," Amos explains.
"I guess it is my turn now," I say not realizing it, "I can only show you a few."
"Go ahead."
I take off my boot with shaking hands and slip off my sock showing him my foot tattoo.
"Does it have a meaning?"
"Yeah all of my tattoos do. This one symobolizes that even if everything in my life gets messed up at least I have my name. The name my parents gave me 18 years ago." I explain.
"How many do you have?" Amos asks.
I take a deep breath, "Ten," I say. Amos's eyes go wide.
"How do you have ten? I mean I know about the one on you collor bone and now your foot where else could they possible be without anyone seeing them," Amos asks.
"I have a weeping willow that covers my stomach, that was the last one I got. I have them on my thighs mostly. I also have one on my heart like you and the collor bone. I have this one behind my ear too." I say moving my hair so he can see my bandaid covering it I slowly tear it off and I reveal a tattoo of a heart, "It helps me remember to keep my head and my heart talking."
Amos looks at me with disbelief. I don't explain anything and I get up from the bed. I open the door and get the car. He shortly follows behind.

I have been waiting to write that for so long!
