"What exactly is it?" I questioned, rolling the small metal contraption in my hands. You see, Eleanor was sent some strange device by her grandparents. It was a long stick-like thing, with a button on the end.

"I'm not sure..."

"You three are stupid," Daniel said to Pansy, Eleanor and I. "It's a pen. They're kinda like quills... You write with them." I nodded, slightly amazed that this had the same ability as a quill and ink set.

But something quickly caught my attention. Katie Bell was back... And talking to Harry. I watched the situation unfold anxiously until Harry began to follow Draco out of the Hall.

I shot out of my seat, causing my friends to query. But I was on a mission. I found myself at the teacher's table, warning Snape. Who had a similar reaction to me. He had to make an excuse to leave, so in the meantime, I ran after them.

Eventually, I heard loud sounds emitting from the bathroom. My stomach turned nervously, hearing a spell being shot by Harry.

Sectumsempra.

My heart dropped. I had read about the spell last year. It was gruesome, not a likely spell to survive from.

I grabbed my wand and ran into the bathroom. Draco was laying on the ground, blood-stained and shaking slightly. Gasped and pointed my wand at Harry, disarming him before running to his side. Tears ran down his cheeks as I caressed his cheekbone. I began to cry uncontrollably.

I lifted his head and rested it on my lap, comforting him until Snape arrived. Everything was a blur. Seeing Draco like this hurt. But also seeing what Harry could do with no sympathy what so ever.

I whispered to Draco as Snape healed him. "It's going to be ok." I wasn't sure who I was assuring, Snape, Draco or myself? But it didn't matter, because all of us were terrified.

The blood no longer stained his shirt, but he remained asleep. I shook furiously as I placed a gentle kiss on his head. Tears still fell as Hagrid lifted Draco to the Hospital Wing. But before I could enter after him, Snape pulled me into a hug. "He'll be alright," He whispered reassuringly. "You can't go to classes after seeing that. I'll let your teachers and Pomfrey know what has happened. I'm sure Dumbledore won't mind." I nodded and pulled away.

"Harry isn't gonna get in trouble for this, is he?" I whispered sadly. Snape shook his head in response. I sighed before entering the room and taking a seat next to Draco, grabbing ahold of his hand and resting my chin on the bed.

I sniffed as I watched him lay there still. I wanted nothing more than for him to sit up and assure me he was fine. But it didn't seem he would wake for a while. So I sat and looked at him.

Unlike the castle, I had noticed every last part of Draco's face. There was nothing new to it. But it continued to amaze me the beauty of this boy. And at this moment, he seemed so peaceful, so at ease. His forehead no longer strained, and his muscles relaxed. His eyes remained close like they hadn't done for quite a while.

I stayed sat for the rest of the day, and when curfew arrived, Pomfrey didn't insist I left. So I slept at his side. And that night, my sleep wasn't contaminated by nightmares.

It was filled with dreams of a certain blonde. Dreams of a future I wanted more than anything. A house on the beach with a son and a daughter. Later on, of course, because before that we travelled for three years. Then we settled, and he worked in the Department of International Magical Cooperation, and I became an Auror.

It was perfect.
