Today Is Christmas eve. I have been here for two days, and without Layla's parents here, it hasn't been too bad. Her youngest brother, Charles or Charlie was like a clone of her, kind, sweet, welcoming and very protective of Layla, it was cute really. Cormac wasn't so much like her more an adventurous, outgoing kid, probably a Gryffindor. Seeing the close relationship, Layla had with her two younger brothers made me wish I had some siblings myself. I always wanted a younger sister, but my mother couldn't go through that all again.

One little Lucius was enough.

Something clicked in Layla when her parents left, she relaxed a little, smiled a bit more, laughed more. It made my heart flutter every time I heard her speak.

I slowly watched her become more at ease, happier. God, I love it when she smiles, and when she laughs. What the hell am I feeling? I like her, I really do. My father would be furious. Malfoy men weren't meant to feel. But really, I couldn't help it. Layla made me so unbelievably happy, how does she do it? Sometimes it made me angry that I couldn't stay away from her when it not long I couldn't see her.

I hear a door open and wind blowing through space. I groaned rolling over in bed. I was wearing grey sweatpants but no shirt.

"Layla, dear," a joyful voice erupted through the house. I looked over to the alarm clock on my bedside table,

7:39 AM

Jeez, who is here that early. I hear Layla hush the woman and they begin to speak quietly. I roll back over and fall back to sleep.

Soon enough I feel a soft hand nudge my shoulder and a smooth, quiet voice whisper,

"Draco," It was Layla. I sigh sleepily, returning to my thoughts. I often found myself thinking about her. I really like her, and I hated feeling this way. I was sure that I would do almost anything to make her happy.

"Draco, come on," she said slightly louder this time. I feel my eyes flutter open, and next to the bed stood a bent down Layla. I smiled at the sight of her, I honestly couldn't help it.

Layla Diggory,

what are you doing to me?

"Mmmm," Draco groaned, "what the time?"

"Nine thirty,"

"God, I'm so tired," he said in a raspy voice, stretching.

"I'm sorry I had to wake you. It's just, well my grandmother is here, and she is eager to fulfil the tradition of going to Diagon Alley on Christmas Eve." I say genuinely sorry seeing how exhausted he seems.

"No It's alright," he said, smiling. His morning voice was hoarse, low and not gonna lie, quite attractive. Ya know what? He was quite attractive. No, he was, extremely attractive. He was also smart, kind (well at least to me), funny and even on occasion quite caring or sympathetic. I liked him. Oh, God. I really liked him. He would never want anything like that with a Hufflepuff though, especially me.

He pulled the blankets away, revealing his bare chest. Oh, wow. Those abs. His chest was defined and muscular. I felt a blush creep across my cheeks.

"Like what you see?" Draco laughed, and annoying smirk pulling at his lips. I turned to the door, embarrassed.

Yes, I absolutely do.

We walked down the hall side by side. Layla was wearing wide-legged blue jeans, a massive black puffer jacket and matching yellow woollen hat and gloves, her face already red from the cold. I was wearing a grey sweater, black jeans, a Slytherin scarf and a navy blue puffer jacket.

We entered the living room decorated in yellows, reds and greens. An older lady quickly stands as we enter and turns to Layla smirking,

"Layla!" She gapes, "you didn't tell me your friend was a guy," she looks at me astounded. I look at Layla, biting my lip to hold in my laugh.

"Yup and you wonder why," she sighs. "This is Draco, Draco Malfoy."

"A Malfoy!" She yells, turning her gaze back to me. Layla and I share a confused look. "I was well aquatinted with your grandfather, Jeez I knew you looked familiar. Abraxas, we were actually set for marriage." Layla looked at her, almost as confused as me,

"Really?"

"Yeah," she paused, "but now I am certainly glad we didn't." Layla's eyes widened, and I let out I chuckle,

I wish.
