Chapter 38: Getting the Key

The cell door opened and Quinn stepped into the cell, to his lover sitting on her bed. She wasn't doing anything of importance but just staring at the wall. He walked up to your bed and sat down beside you. You didn't make a move to look over at him, or even turn his way.

   " My star, I have something I want to discuss with you. "

   " What? "

   " What are your thoughts on marriage? "

   " I don't know. It would just have to be with the right person. Until I'm proposed to I'm  not going to worry about it. "

   " Would you marry? "

   " In the future. But I would want my fiance to help plan the wedding. I don't know that much about it to actually plan it. "

   " My star, you know I love you-"

   " You don't. "

   " You deny my love? "

   " Like I have many times. Because it is not love, you are obsessed. You only like the idea of me. "

   " That's not it at all! "

   " Then what is it? Because right I'm right! I'm stuck here in this cell doing nothing but have you visit me and push your love on me, that I do not want! This is not love. "

Quinn could feel his heart beating fast in his ears. The box that was in his hand felt heavy, but he didn't lose his confidence. Quinn stood up from the bed and kneeled in front of you, taking your hands in his. Your hands were cold to the touch and he didn't like the thoughts that plagued his head.

   ' Maybe she's sick. What if it's too cold in here and she gets the sickness that's been going around the cells? Should I move her out of here? '

   " What is it? "

   " My star, my love for you is true and my whole heart is focused on you, as my eyes are for you only. I do not have another love nor do I look at others with the same passion that I have for you. You are my one and only. I couldn't imagine myself with anyone else. That thought never even plagued my mind and it never will. I knew I loved you that night at the ball and before that, you had piqued my interest. My star, I've told you this many times, but our names are in the stars. As the constellations make shapes, like the Leo and Aries, with the Draco and the Scorpious they also write our names together. Our names are connected and intertwined. So I follow my heart along with our destiny in the stars. "

Quinn pulled the box upward and held your left hand. He opened the box with one hand and held it up to you. Inside the box was a diamond ring that looked expensive. The diamond in the middle was big and could be seen miles away. There were smaller diamonds on the edges of the ring and they were placed in specific spots. 

You didn't notice it at that moment but the stars on the band of the ring were lined up to match two constellations. The left side was in the shape of the constellation Sagittarius, The Archer. On the other side was your very own constellation, in perfect shape with the diamonds. The band itself was silver and freshly made. Seeing the diamond in the black box sitting in the red velvet material, made you sick.

   " Will you do me the honor of becoming Y/n Harding, the queen of Madrathia? "

You didn't look into his eyes, you physically couldn't. Your eyes focused on the expensive ring and thought about your situation. It almost brought tears to your eyes and made the vial feel prominent in your throat. You wanted to deny him, but you were afraid of what would happen. You didn't want to marry him, that wasn't an option for you.
