The long, awkward trek through Auradon's pristine hallways had taken a toll. The four infamous Isle kids, feared and infamous back home, now wandered the school like lost puppies-hungry, annoyed, and dangerously close to giving up.

"This is humiliating," Hyuck muttered under his breath.

"I can't believe we're being outsmarted by a building," Sungchan added.

Jeno finally snapped. "Fuck this! I'm asking the damn librarian. I don't even know how this school cleared out so fast-like it's cursed or some sh-"

He swung a fist through the air, just missing a nearby locker. The motion made the others flinch; they all knew better than to underestimate Jeno's strength.

"Chill," Jisung said quickly, trying to ease him down. "We'll find it. Want me to go with you?"

Jeno ruffled the younger boy's hair with a sigh. "No. Stay here. Maybe someone'll notice we're not eating and come find you. Just don't move from this exact spot."

Before he could storm off, Hyuck grabbed his arm.

"Please try not to be an asshole," he said sharply. "We're here for a reason. I'm already getting some ideas-don't ruin that before lunch."

Jeno rolled his eyes but didn't argue. He turned and marched off, mentally tracing the path to the stairwell. He remembered something about two doors under the main stairs, and sure enough, one creaked open to reveal the library.

Empty.

"For fuck's sake!" he barked into the silent space. "Is there anyone here?!"

No answer. He groaned. "This place is cursed."

A voice, low and unimpressed, sliced through the air like a blade.
"You know this is a library, right? We don't scream in here."

Jeno turned and froze. Leaning casually against a bookshelf was a tall blonde with sharp features, arms crossed, and a look that screamed try me. He was... distractingly attractive.

"You the librarian?" Jeno asked, instantly regretting the question. The guy looked way too young and smug for that.

The stranger smirked. "Nope. Librarian's at lunch. And shouldn't you be there too, tough guy?"

Jeno tensed. He was this close to snapping, but Hyuck's words played on a loop in his head. Don't ruin this. Deep breath.

"My friends and I have been lost for thirty minutes," he said through gritted teeth. "We don't know where the cafeteria is. I'm really fucking hungry and trying very hard not to punch anything. So would you mind helping?"

The blonde raised an eyebrow. "Aww. The mighty son of Jafar... can't even find lunch? Tragic."

Jeno squinted at him. "What's your problem?"

"Let's see..." the boy counted on his fingers. "One, you were yelling in my peaceful space. Two, your dad did try to murder mine. So I'm not exactly feeling generous."

Jeno blinked. "Wait. Aladdin's kid?"

"Bingo."

"So because our dads threw hands, you're just gonna let me starve?"

The blonde shrugged with the fakest innocence. "Exactly."

That did it.

"Fuck you, you petty son of a bitch," Jeno snapped, turning to leave-until a hand caught his sleeve.

"Okay, okay-wait." The blonde sighed, suddenly looking sheepish. "That was uncalled for. You're right. We're supposed to help each other. Sorry."

Jeno turned slowly, eyebrow raised. "Now I'm just supposed to forgive you?"

"If I show you the cafeteria, will you?"

"...Why the sudden change of heart?"

The blonde leaned in, smile curling. "Not gonna lie... you're really attractive, you know."

Jeno blinked. "I'm sorry, what?"

The boy just chuckled, stepping closer. His breath brushed Jeno's ear as he whispered, "Follow me, pretty boy."

Jeno stood frozen, processing everything and nothing at once. Then-without a word-he followed.

---

Outside, the others were still waiting when the two reappeared.

Sungchan immediately raised a brow. "What took you so long?"

Jeno grumbled, "He was annoying."

The blonde stepped forward with a sunny grin. "Hi. I'm Jaemin. Son of Aladdin and Jasmine."

Jeno narrowed his eyes. "So your name is Jaemin..."

Jaemin winked. "Better remember it, pretty boy."

Everyone blinked. Hyuck's eyes narrowed slightly. Jisung's mouth opened. Sungchan tilted his head like is this really happening?

Jeno, utterly done, groaned. "Can we just go eat now?"

"Of course, handsome," Jaemin replied with a teasing grin, already turning toward the cafeteria.

Sungchan looked over at Chenle, who had silently appeared while they were waiting. "I'm so sorry you had to witness that."

Chenle just shrugged. "I've seen worse."

And with that, they trailed after Jaemin, the chaos-to-come practically radiating from their footsteps.
