The celebration had faded to a warm hum behind the palace walls. Somewhere, music still danced through the gardens and laughter spilled like champagne, but here—behind the doors of the royal chamber—only two people existed.
Mark had guided Donghyuck here gently, not rushing, not speaking too much. Just holding his hand, knuckles brushed with kisses, letting his warmth speak instead.
The room was bathed in gold and violet light—colors of royalty, of dusk and passion. Petals had been scattered like a blessing. The canopy of the bed stood tall, gauzy curtains pulled aside like a stage waiting for its lovers.
Mark turned, pulling Donghyuck into him. His lips hovered close but didn’t touch yet. Just his breath—warm, reverent.
“We’re gonna be the best kings this kingdom’s ever seen,” he whispered, voice already dipped in honey and awe.
Donghyuck’s lashes fluttered. “You really think so?”
Mark cupped his face, thumb brushing along the cheek he’d memorized a hundred different ways.
“I don’t think,” Mark murmured. “I know. I already see us ten years from now—still ruling, still kissing like this.”
And then he leaned in. Slow. Luxurious. A kiss that was silk and stars and everything warm.
“Together,” he said against Donghyuck’s lips, “we’ll be better rulers than my parents. We’ll lead with fire and love. And if anyone dares doubt you…”
Mark's voice darkened, “They’ll have to deal with me.”
Donghyuck flushed, eyes wide, heart tripping in his chest like a clumsy dancer. Mark grinned, eyes tracing every inch of him in that tailored suit—the one that shimmered with dragon-scale detail.
“You look so beautiful tonight,” he whispered. “Like… actually the most gorgeous person I’ve ever laid eyes on.”
His voice dropped again, thicker now. “Every time I see you, my heart jumps. I think I might be having tiny heart attacks around you.”
Hyuck laughed, soft and nervous, clutching at Mark’s jacket lapels. “You’re too much…”
“No,” Mark purred. “You’re too much. Too perfect. Honestly? I don’t think you should be wearing anything right now.”
He let that hang in the air.
Mark’s hands slid slowly down Donghyuck’s waist, fingers gliding over the curve of his hips.
“Today, during the coronation? I barely heard the trumpets. All I could think about… was how good you looked.
And how good you’d look under me.”
Donghyuck’s knees buckled slightly. Mark caught him. Held him.
“That suit hugs your legs so nicely,” Mark murmured into his neck. “I could create a fan club just for your thighs.”
His tongue flicked just behind Donghyuck’s ear. “Every time you say my name, I swear I hear you screaming it.”
Donghyuck groaned, breath catching. “Mark…”
Mark’s hands traveled to the buttons of his lover’s jacket. “I’m ten seconds away from ripping this suit off and absolutely destroying you.”
And Donghyuck? He didn’t say no.
---
The suit fell away first. Button by slow, aching button. Mark took his time, as if unwrapping a sacred gift. He kissed each inch of skin as it was revealed—chest, collarbone, the spot just below his ribs that made Hyuck twitch.
“You’re art,” Mark whispered. “Divine. My consort, my crown, my everything.”
He got on his knees, worshiping like it was his religion. He whispered promises into Donghyuck’s skin—about loyalty, about forever, about a throne made not of gold, but of them.
They moved together onto the bed, tangled in velvet sheets and gasped moans. Mark kissed every part of Donghyuck’s body as if it held the map to the stars.
His hands were everywhere—steady, exploring, claiming.
And Donghyuck? He melted, cried out, clung to Mark like he was the very air. His walls dropped completely. Every giggle, every moan, every vulnerable breath—he let it out, knowing he was safe here. Worshipped. Loved.
“Say it,” Donghyuck gasped against his ear.
Mark smiled into his throat. “You’re mine. And I’m yours. Always.”
The rhythm built, slow to fast, teasing to devouring. Moans echoed like hymns. Sweat slicked their bodies. The room spun in gold light and violet shadows.
And then—
Climax.
Not just physical. Emotional.
A tear slid down Donghyuck’s cheek as he gasped Mark’s name.
Mark kissed it away.
“You did it,” Mark whispered, heart pounding. “You saved a kingdom. You saved me.”
---
After, they lay together, tangled and breathless.
Donghyuck rested his head on Mark’s chest, listening to the steady beat beneath his palm.
“We’re kings now,” he murmured.
Mark smiled, fingers brushing through his hair. “Yeah. Kings… with a very, very messy bed.”
Donghyuck laughed, chest shaking. “You’re such a dork.”
“You love it.”
“...I really do.”
