To say Donghyuck was in shock would be an understatement. After their short pre-date with Mark, they arrived at the restaurant for dinner.

The place was breathtaking.

As the prince led him to their table, the purple-haired boy’s eyes were wide, his mouth slightly agape, drinking in the grandeur. So entranced, he didn’t notice the chair in front of him — and promptly tripped over it, snapping back to reality with a soft thud.

Mark (giggling): "Perfect."

He smoothly pulled out the chair for Donghyuck, both of them barely sparing glances at the intense eyes of Mark’s parents, who watched them like hawks.

Mark (breaking the silence): "Mom, Dad… this is Donghyuck."

Donghyuck gave a shy smile as he sat down.

Belle: "Nice to meet you, Donghyuck. You look fantastic… my son sure knows how to pick clothes."

Hyuck: "From what I’m seeing, he gets that from his mother."

Belle chuckled softly.

Adam: "He sure does. I’ve never had to worry about looking bad with my Belle around."

Belle: "Well, I must agree."

The mood lightened as everyone chuckled, the warmth settling around them. Donghyuck felt his nerves ease.

Hyuck: "I have to ask, because I don’t think Mark will answer honestly — is he a crier?"

Adam: "My son? Cry? Maybe when he was a baby…"

Belle chuckled, and Mark’s face went beet red as he shot his mother a glare.

Mark: "Mooomm."

Laughter bubbled around the table again.

Later, walking back to where Mark had parked his scooter, the prince broke the comfortable silence.

Mark: "I’m pretty sure my parents love you more than they love me."

Hyuck (giggling): "I wouldn’t go that far."

Mark melted, savoring the sound of his laugh.

Mark: "You know… I was smitten before, but after this dinner? I think I’m sick. So sick that nothing can cure me… except you. I’ll be sick whenever you’re not around. I didn’t think I could fall harder, but damn. I just wish I could marry you right here, right now. Call you my husband, my queen. I wish every kingdom in the universe knew you’re mine, and I’m yours."

They stopped at the gazebo, settling close, holding each other in the quiet warmth of twilight.

Mark: "You granted some of my wishes already. You tripped the moment we arrived, played around with me and my parents, got food on your face, even spilled wine on my suit… but there’s one thing you didn’t do."

He brushed his fingers gently over Donghyuck’s cheek, drinking in every inch of his face, his eyes heavy with love.

Hyuck: "Oh really? What’s that, my prince?"

He caught Mark’s gaze, holding the hand stroking his cheek.

Mark: "Your suit is perfectly untouched. Clean."

Hyuck (leaning closer, breathy): "So what should we do about that?"

Mark closed the tiny distance between them, his lips capturing Donghyuck’s in a kiss both soft and hungry. When they parted, breaths were heavy, eyes swimming with longing.

Mark (voice low, teasing): "I think we should go to my room and fix that."

The tone sent a shiver down Donghyuck’s spine; words failed him.

Hyuck: "Take me."

He tried to look away from Mark’s intense gaze, but the prince gently tilted his chin back, forcing eye contact.

Mark: "Where?"

Hyuck (softly): "To your room."

Mark (leaning closer, just inches away): "Why?"

Hyuck: "To ruin my suit."

His eyes were glossy, lids heavy, vulnerability shining through.

Mark: "Now say it all in one sentence, baby."

Mark leaned back, licking his lips, taking a deep breath to steady himself. The next words might make him lose his mind.

Hyuck: "Take me to your room and ruin my suit."

That was all Mark needed. He gently pulled the Isle kid close, peppering him with soft kisses on hands, cheeks, lips — savoring every second. The walk to his room stretched long and sweet, every step charged with delicious anticipation.
