Sungchan: “Donghyuck, I think you’re toast.”

The air at the courtyard table was practically sparkling with laughter—giggles bouncing off golden walls, plates clinking with leftovers, everyone in an obnoxiously good mood.

Donghyuck: “Yeah… I think so too,” he chuckled, scratching his neck. “I’m actually a goner.”

Chenle: “Imagine Jungwoo hearing about your evening. He’d eat himself alive.”
That earned another round of cackles.

Jeno: “Okay, but seriously. I think us coming here was fate. I’m not going back. I don’t care what our parents say. If they want to drag us home, let ‘em try—we’re not their pawns anymore.”

A sudden voice cut through the table.

Mark: “I’m really glad to hear that.”

Everyone flinched like cats caught doing something illegal.

Sungchan: “YOU HAVE GOT TO STOP DOING THAT!”

Mark just chuckled and slid into the seat next to Donghyuck, who was already grinning like the sun had just winked at him.

Mark: “I missed you so much, beautiful.”
He leaned in, pulled him close, and kissed him softly. “I’ve got half an hour off. Technically I already ate in secret, so I can spend the full thirty minutes with you... if you want me to, of course.” He fought back a teasing smile.

Donghyuck rolled his eyes, biting back a grin.

Donghyuck: “Mmm, I don’t know… I was thinking of going for round two with the roasted duck, even though I basically inhaled half the buffet.”

Mark: “Alright then. See you guys around.”

The prince stood and turned slowly, starting to walk away. But he didn’t get far.

Donghyuck blinked—was he serious? He started to stand up, ready to chase after him, until he noticed the smirking royal had only moved two steps away. Mark stood still, one hand stretched behind him, fingers slightly spread.

Waiting.

Donghyuck didn’t hesitate. He grabbed the hand and practically bounced into him. Mark’s other arm wrapped around his waist, pulling him in for a kiss.

The crowd around them collectively gasped.

Some jaws hit tables. Others dropped forks. Everyone stared.

Jisung: “Okay, calm down, lovebirds. You’ve got an audience.”

The warning landed like a dare.

Mark’s smirk deepened. He scanned the curious eyes all around them, then gently placed both hands on Hyuck’s waist, and leaned in for a deeper kiss—this one slow and intentional.

Donghyuck melted into it. The fact that Mark didn’t care—no, wanted to show him off—sent firecrackers through his chest.

So of course, Donghyuck had to turn it up a notch. With one arm around Mark’s neck, he let his hand slowly trail down the prince’s torso. Past his shoulder, down the chest, slipping just under the hem of his shirt. Fingers danced over toned abs like it was no big deal.

Whistles rang out. A few nobles made scandalized noises.

The two broke apart, eyes locked, grinning like fools.

Mark: “Let’s go.”

He led Donghyuck toward their secret garden spot—the little gazebo, their little world. They sat close, always touching. This time, Hyuck straddled Mark’s lap, arms draped around his shoulders.

Mark: “I love you. I missed you so much. I thought about you all day. Honestly, if my parents were watching right now, I’d still kiss you. That’s how much I missed you—and always will.”

Donghyuck: “Okay, lover boy, maybe skip the parental PDA. I don’t think they did anything that wrong to deserve trauma.”
He played with Mark’s hair, earning a soft laugh.

Mark: “It would be funny though.”
He caught Hyuck’s hand, kissed it, and guided it back to his hair like a royal demand.

Donghyuck: “Maybe. Guess we’ll never know.”

Mark: “Oh no. We will. I can’t hold back when I’m with you. I just wanna smother you in kisses—like, all the time.”
As if proving his point, he peppered Donghyuck’s face with pecks, drawing more giggles with every kiss.

Donghyuck: “You know I won’t say no to that…”

Mark (suddenly serious): “And if I asked you to move into my room? Would you do that for me?”

Donghyuck blinked, then smiled—soft, certain.

Donghyuck: “I would. I’d do that for me. But if you want it too, I’d do it for you.”

Mark beamed like the sun had just agreed to stay out longer. He wrapped his arms around him tighter, kissed him again and again.

Mark: “I’ll have your things moved today. I want to fall asleep with you beside me every night.”

And with one last, perfect kiss, the deal was sealed.
