ELSA'S POV
***
I could feel my legs run away from my body as I stood infront of the huge mahogany doors.
How did I end up outside the masquerade party again?
**** an hour earlier *****
"Sebastian, would you be so kind to fetch my purchased delivery down by the docks?" I said calmly to Sebastian. He looked at me weirdly.
"But Miss Elsa, won't they deliver it here?" He asked and I swatted my feeling of guilt. Must not let him know that I'm lying.
"Er - no. Because I thought that I wanted to take a hike when I get the package that's why I requested for the delivery team not to bring it to our house. But something opened up, so please," I tried to make it sound not too important, "bring the package home."
Sebastian looks at me and for a moment I thought that I was busted. But then he nods and takes his coat.
"I'll be back before 9. What did you say was the name of the delivery system again?" He asks and I quickly say the first word in my mind.
"Trouble. Ugh...Trouble Express." I chuckled nervously and Sebastian merely shrugs.
"Peculiar name for a delivering agency." He says as he closes the door to leave. I, on the other hand, slide to the floor and sigh.
"You're getting good at this lying thing Elsa," I facepalmed myself. Soon, I hear Anna's singing and I get up and straighten myself. I slowly creep to her door and took a peak.
"Imagine me wearing a gown and all fletchingly draped against the wall..." Anna's singing makes me smile. It's been a while since I've heard her sing like that. I sigh as I remembered that she was really sad a while ago but somehow, Anna always manages to bounce back with brightness.
Which is the reason why I don't want her to go to the party.
I couldn't really explain it but my guts were screaming to me that it was really wrong for this party. And I knew that I couldn't stop Anna especially when she's set to go. So I did the only thing I knew I could do to keep her in.
Locked her room.
"I'm sorry Anna, it's for your own good." I mutter as I hear the door lock and I leave a note by the key on the counter. So when Sebastian comes home, he'll be able to open Anna. Hopefully, she'll understand.
I take a deep breath and realized that Anna had to be there because she was the "guest of honor". And if she wouldn't show up, then she'd be subject to public humiliation especially since it was the Queen who invited her.
Right, what a privilege.
So if Anna can't go, then I must take her place.
"Elsa, you are either very brave..." I muttered to myself as I went to my room upstairs to get ready.
**** present time ****
"...or very stupid." I finished my sentence as the doors open wide before me. "Here goes everything." I say and I was expecting no one to notice me.
Sadly, everyone notices.
A streamers of balloon fall and fireworks explode.
"WELCOME ANNA DELL!"
And I practically blurred out.
