ELSA'S POV
***
"Don't forget to pass your report on Friday, 7pm sharp." Mr. Mufasa beams as he adjusts his glasses. Something about his buffed up body and orange mane-like hair makes me remember lions. The bell rings and soon, everyone gets up. "Miss Aurora, meet me at my office." Mr. Mufasa calls out with a frown as he leaves. Beside me by two chairs, the ever sleepy blonde Aurora yawns and packs her notebook.
"Why do I always get detention? It's not like I'm sleepy or...anything." She yawns again after leaving the room. I place my pen inside my shoulderbag when I somebody bumps me from behind.
"Oops, sorry." I don't need to look back to know that it's Cinderella and her two lackeys -- Belle and Snow White a.k.a the Princesses. "I didn't know beggars could even afford bags." Cinderella kids and both of the two others laugh. I just take a deep breath as I see them walk out the room. In my nearly a week stay here, I've come to learn that Cinderella belongs to the merchant-class and is also president of the all-merchant girl sorority, the Princesses. And she's been very...welcoming eversince that 'incident' in Mr. Merlin's class.
"The Princesses are but the least of your worries, Elsa." As if on cue, my seatmate, the ever-dazing Alice smiles as she gets up. I continue to place my things back as Alice slowly walks pass me. Alice says the weirdest things like a place where cats talk and Wonderland or whatnots. Personally, I've find that pretending to listen to her is the best way to keep sane. "Listen Elsa, if you want to graduate here without any trouble, I suggest I don't attract more attention that I've already had." She giggles and I raise a brow.
"Excuse me?" I suddenly blurt out but she starts humming to herself and walks away. See? Always in a daze. I shake my head and swing my bag over my shoulders and leave the room.
I walk down the hallway and look outside to the view of the cobbled rooftop houses. What can I say? Dreamworks Academy is an amazing place -- lots of trees, peaceful, fresh-- my kind of perfect. The big clocktower rings and I realize that I've got half an hour until my History class with Mr. Scar.
The thought of that man gives me the shivers. I mean, he's practically the opposite of his brother, Mr. Mufasa. Skinny, dark mane-like hair and an even darker personality of wanting to scare you out of your wits -- he's the perfect guy to talk with. I used to love History but the way he teaches, you could get convinced that somebody with a toothpick could kill you. His favorite part of the subject is the topic on wars and the tortures they do to their enemies.
Seriously! The guy's obssessed with torture and killing! He even added a real guillotine he had bought at an auction to the dungeons to make the place more--- "historical".
I shiver as I try to replace the thoughts with others. If History wasn't really working out with me, the other subjects were just a sinch, especially Economics with Mr. Merlin. He's great! Great teaching strategies, great everything. The only problem is, he easily forgets stuff so we have to remind him every 5 minutes of what our topic was. Other than that, school has been...better than I've expected.
I take a deep breath and sit down the wooden bench beneath a huge firetree. I always thought I'd die the moment I left my room. Thinking about it, I must've been sooo...weird. No wonder Anna got giddy around me.
Anna.
A frown creases itself on my face as I remember our fight yesterday. I sigh and lean my head on the trunk of the tree. When will things really work the way they should be?
