Katherine stood in front of the mirror in the corner of the bedroom. Steve lay on the bed, reading a book he recently bought - about a soldier at war. Katherine was dressed in a teal maxi dress that draped over her shoulders. She wore a silver pendant, diamond earrings, silver heeled shoes and white gloves covering her metal hands. Her hair was styled in a braided low bun with a teal flower clip delicately placed on the side of her hair.

Katherine turned, examining herself in the mirror, making sure that she was presentable. Steve noticed her gaze, only now seeing her in her full beauty. Steve closed the book and placed it to the side, "You look gorgeous." He spoke, climbing to his feet and approaching Katherine. Katherine smiled, watching Steve in the mirror come up behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist, bending down and kissing the back of her neck, "Do you need a ride?"

Katherine turned and looked to Steve, "No. Thank you. Happy is picking me up." It was in that instant that an approaching vehicle was heard stopping outside of the house. "Speak of the devil." Katherine sighed, quickly gathering her things in her purse - phone, keys, lipstick.

Happy began honking as Katherine kissed Steve on the cheek, "Have fun." He spoke as Katherine made her way downstairs - rushing to get outside as the honking increased. Steve followed closely behind. "And don't forget we have to be at the courthouse early tomorrow to sign the papers."

"I know, I know." Katherine spoke opening the front door, the honks becoming louder. She tried to wave Happy off but he persisted with making noise. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Katherine kissed Steve goodbye as the desperate honks echoed throughout the neighborhood. Katherine jogged down the driveway to the best of her ability in her shoes, holding her dress up slightly and eventually jumping to the front seat of Happy's convertible. "Jeez, the whole neighborhood can you hear you." Katherine spoke, closing the door over, waving goodbye to Steve who stood on the porch.

Happy began driving, "I see you and Cap have made a happy home for yourselves. How long have you been secluded out here?"

Happy began heading from the neighborhood Katherine now called home and made his way to the highway, beginning their hour journey from the city and into the middle of nowhere. "It's not secluded." Katherine said in defense. "It's nice and quaint. It's been home for the past two months."

"So are you and Cap -" Happy spoke, glancing between Katherine and the road in front of him, "- Like a thing?"

"What do you mean 'a thing?'."

"Like a couple, loved up? I don't know what you kids call it these days."

Katherine couldn't help but let out a laugh, "You could say that."

"Since when?"

Katherine let out another laugh, "Where have you been, Happy? Hiding under a massive rock the last few years?"

Happy shrugged, "I guess I've been so preoccupied looking after Peter that I haven't been paying much attention to you."

Katherine's smile quickly faded. "I'm sorry, Happy." She sighed, feeling insensitive, almost forgetting that she wasn't the only one who lost their friends. "He was a good kid."

"Yeah." Happy sighed, gripping the steering wheel slightly tighter, his knuckles going white.

Katherine felt tension slowly build - not negative tension but the tension that has been building since Thanos' snap. "Anyways," Katherine inhaled, fidgeting with her fingers, "I haven't seen the cabin, have you visited?"

"Yeah." Happy responded, a little less chirpy than he was than the beginning of the car ride, "Just once when they first moved in." There was another pause between the pair, not intentionally. But both parties didn't want to start conversation leading to the other becoming upset. It was still hard adjusting to life with half of the population gone - just like that. Happy resorted to putting the radio on, the pair sitting in silence listening to the classic hits.
